I think something we can all agree on is Lewis Neal and the D line has been the bright spot on this defense. Coach O has really done a fantastic job with these guys. I'm so impressed with this unit. Great job by O. Lewis Neal has been unbelievable this year.

The DE's coming in were really inexperienced and I'm not even talking about the freshmen. Coming around nicely and should get better as the season goes on. Neal had a monster game and it couldn't have come at a better time.

I kept seeing 92 making plays and it made me think of Reggie White

Neal was fantastic tonight! Bower looked good and Key forced the QB to make fast decisions. By far there best game.

Defense is definitely getting better against the run, credit the D line, Beckwith and Jones. DB's are having a rough year. I like John Battle. When he is in he seems to make plays. I also loved seeing Mills in on those last drives by UF.

Exactly right about the D-line. On 1st and 2nd downs, we had them on their heels all night b/c of the D-line......then 3rd down happens. Steele is just like Chavis. If it's 3rd and long, they only rush 3, and drop back, but the zone used just allows big gaps, and QBs have a field day. @islstl any idea how many of Treon's 250+ yards were on 3rd down?

The defensive philosophy on 3rd and long is our Achilles heel. I wish it would change, but know it won't.

I think there is a clear issue with coverage and it being communicated.

There were a number plays DBd did not know who to cover.

I thought the secondary played well. The coverage failures is on the calls made on defense

I gotta disagree, looked like every big play was due to a breakdown by one of the players. Jefferson twice on 1 drive, 3 times on the night that I can remember, 2 gave up TD's.
