I agree and he doesn't get enough credit for it imo. Most kids today would have bolted, props to J. Lee, he's a Tiger through & through.
Not to comment one way or the other about the subject of this thread but if current trends continue through the month of October his next letter won't be about a top 10 team. The fans are tired of the apparent serious lack of decision making skills amongst the coaching staff......I only hope LSU has not just nicked the iceberg and is slowing taking on water on a ship destined to sink. Frankly, as a fan that lives outside of LA. I am still far more embarassed almost any time I see Miles trying to say something on TV and then I remember what he did (or didn't do) at Ole Miss. That event is and will be remembered by many.:geaux:
You know what, SabanFan? We can simply agree to disagree. I don't see why you feel the need to attack folks for simply stating an opinion. Do you really feel so superior to everyone else? You don't even know me, I'm actually a nice guy, pretty easy-going and laid back. I've never booed a kid in TS...all I said was I could see why some folks are frustrated. I use the brain God gave me every day, thank you. Just because I don't live in LA does not make me an 'ignorant outsider'. I was born and raised in BR, graduated from LSU and have been going to games since I was seven. I was lucky enough to see Billy Cannon's famous run from the northeast corner of the stadium. I'll never forget it. I don't think Jarrett is down on himself at all. In fact, when he was going thru that tough season, I was for giving JJ a chance, so this is not just a 'JJ is crap' thing. You say the coaches know what we have and are doing the right thing. Your opinion. GEAUX TIGERS !!!!!!!!!!
That would be wise cause you ain't changin his mind. SabanFan is only expressing his, too. He's the first one to say he's going to support his coaches come hell or high water. He's very opinionated but also very thick-skinned and can take it on return from those who are at the other end of the spectrum. You're new here, we're pretty hard on one another- in fun though- for the most part. Don't take comments personally, it will only make you more vulnerable to receive them. Check his post history, he's been consistent. We can always count on him for a pick-me-up. >http://forums.tigerfan.com/tigers-den/26203-negativism.html< He even almost left, once:  >http://forums.tigerfan.com/roundtable/28239-vote-sabanfan.html<
Thanks, lsutiga. I appreciate the advice. Not trying to change his mind...did just seem a bit personal though. I came to this forum because I've always been a proud Tiger. You're right, I am fairly new here, will try to hang around and just be cool.
I didn"t "boo" but I did cheer when Lee entered the game. If that hurt somebody's feelings...well, too bad. This team has far too much talent and far too much potential to be wasted on poor play calling and horrible QB play. I hope we can win a championship on defense and special teams but at some point I believe we'll need to win with offense. That's something we really haven't had the past few years.
Get a thicker skin, that wasn't a personal attack. I said that the idea was moronic, I didn't call you a name. Did you notice that most everyone on this thread disagrees with you, whether it's booing coaches or players? So, do your boo's sound different when your booing a coach vs a player? I mean that seems to be the only way a player can tell the difference. And being a fan doesn't give you any rights whatsoever...where do you get this sense that you're owed something because you support the program? Everything else you've said has already been beaten to death. Time to let this one go, you stated your opinion.
:dis: This is a numb nutting statement. These are college Kids. Kids!! They are not professional athletes, although maybe a dozen will move up and of that 5 play as professionals on every down (national average). Like the NCAA ad says most will go professional in something other than sports. Buying a ticket doesn't garantee you anything more than a seat.
