One way to think about it is....This is just the type of thing we need to get us through these last brutal months of the off season.
The off season is gonna fly by with all the speculation that is gonna be done after the dust settles..possible match ups...its crazy...I wonder if it was like this when the NFL and AFL merged
Man, it seems like there is going to be a huge domino effect, which i don't remember happening when Miami and co. moved to the ACC. I know that the ACC robbed the Big East then the Big East robbed Conference USA, but this seems like its going to really shake things up. How will all this moving effect the schedules this season if at all, when does it go into effect?
I know people have a natural instinct to compete and follow the leader. Therefore, people will be expecting the SEC to follow suit and add a few teams, but I really don't want to see a tougher schedule than what we currently have. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to add Oklahoma or Texas to our schedule every year. Follow the money, every move will be made with money as the first priority. Of course no school will say that. They will state a lot of mumbo jumbo about "academic fits" and anything else they can think of to put up a smoke screen, but it comes down to money. They will travel half way across the country if they have to, and forsake 100 year old rivalries if they can make enough money to make it worth it. Ever wonder why Iowa and Iowa State are in different conferences?
