Looking at stats this morning I noticed they turn the ball over a bit. 5 picks on the season and in quite a few games this year they have dropped the ball multiple times(21 fumbles, lost 10) during a game. With our penchant for take aways how many do you think we get?

Also many teams have put up good rushing numbers on them, for example Tamu had over 300 so this should help us control the TOP.

They also have started slow so we may be able to get up quick and take their spirit early.

    What say you?:tigereye:

They will try to pick us apart with the pass. Let's see how that works out for them against our deep/stingy/viciously fast secondary.

R-Kansas hopes to do what nobody could do this season. They expect to get to the endzone and be "kinged."

I say: Chance of Reign?: NEVER!

They have shown a penchant for making huge comebacks. There is one huge difference between those teams and LSU. LSU's defense is much better than both TAMU and Ole Miss. I think they will be feeling similarly to the Alabama game overmatched at the line of scrimmage.

    I think LSU wins 31-20.

I hope Reid is back. Thank goodness for our remarkable depth. That depth may be the secret sauce to this year's remarkable run. Makes players want to make the most of their minutes and play full out.

Between LSUs potent running game eating the clock and the opportunistic defense, Arkansas's strong offense may do a lot of sitting.

A few quotes of how the team feels.....

LSU cornerback Ron Brooks is aware that those who delight in BCS chaos are fantasizing about an Arkansas upset of the top-ranked Tigers on Friday.

Such chatter means little to him, though.

“We don't live in a fantasy world,” Brooks said. “We live in the real world and we don't focus on what-ifs and possibilities and what could be.”

“We all have just one goal: Get to the national championship. And we don't think anything can stop us from doing that but ourselves,” LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers said.

“We play the style of football that, if we do what we are capable (of), it makes it very difficult on our opponents,” coach Les Miles said. “We move the ball efficiently without turnovers. Our defense does not allow an opponent to go down the field routinely. They get turnovers. ... It does not surprise me that we have been able to have success.”

LSU has won its home games by an average of 34.4 points this season, and its overall winning streak in Death Valley stands at 16 games, dating to the middle of the 2009 season.

We've played Top 5 teams, Top 15 teams, it doesn't matter,” LSU offensive guard Will Blackwell said. “Regardless of whether (Arkansas) was ranked No. 3 or No. 100, it would still mean the same.

“We've got some tough games left ahead of us, but we've played a lot of tough games this season and I feel like we're prepared to take on that challenge, mentally.”

The Tigers often talk about being “a dominant team.” Brockers said he does not believe LSU players are cocky, but know they have a lot of talent and high expectations.

“I feel like dominance is more of confidence,” Brockers began, “confident in what you're doing, confident in playing fast and confident in you knowing that you're better than the guy on the other side of the ball.”

Really? Wow. That further reinforces what I said in another thread. I’m going to re-post it here because the other thread was started by ramah, so I’m sure no one else will be checking in:

And THEY have to stop OUR running game. Everyone keeps making this game out to be nothing more than the Arky finesse offense vs our athletic defense. And while that will obviously be a big key to the game, I think many Tiger and pig fans are grossly underselling the sheer hell that our offense will be unleashing on the pigs. Seriously, they CANNOT stop us. Hell, bama could not stop our rushing attack. We can easily run for another 350 if we so choose.

Nothing makes for a "long night" quite like the opponent methodically and sadistically driving down the field time and again, breaking off small chunks of yards as if they're just messing with you. You keep begging them to score on the next play so you can get the ball back. But no, just another 5-7 yards on the ground. . .clock keeps ticking. . .rinse, repeat, score when you're ready. . .no hurry.

Your mom checked in ... said bring home a loaf of bread and some milk:thumb:

350 is fantasy because they do have some semblance of an SEC DL, unlike Ole Piss

250 yards rushing and 125 passing is good to get us 38+

The pigs will not be able to run the ball on us. They will be one dimensional and try to rely on the pass- just like Oregon and WVU. The result will be about the same.

On the other side of the ball- they won't be able to stop the run. It will be a long day for them.

I've been to some of their message boards. They are waaay overconfident because of recent years. Little do they know this is a very different LSU team. I can't wait for Friday!

If TAMU got 300+, then we should be able to double that. :D
