First of all CLM has made some mistakes managing the clock and has a few times this year but he is not going anywhere this year, Now the main problem our team has had all season with no improvements is the offense, OC Crowton needs to find a new home, I never really knew if he had full control of the play calling or not until I read this statement CLM said

Crowton is the reason the offense is ranked among the worst in the country and its hard to do with the talent LSU has. CLM has been taking the blame for the play calling and why I have no idea but seems like he has been catching the brunt of the complaints, he must face it that Crowton will cost him his Job if he doesn't fix this problem this year.

Some say if Crowton goes we will have to break in a new OC and that will set us back, well I tell you there isn't but a few ranking behind us to fall to last place now so how could there not be a improvement.

Now the offense has taken the spot light off the defense the pass few games but they have been giving up a good bit of yards the pass few games, our DL isn't as good as it has been but they do keep us in the games with a chance to win.

Final Words is CROWTON needs to go, CLM's will still be here next year but we can't afford for Crowton to be, Just think, Clock management might not even be needed if the offensive scheme and play calling wasn't so horrible

LSU is 8-3 now with Arkansas still to play, I am hoping for a 9-3 season but it could be 8-4, remember this, Only talent has kept this team from losing more games, this season. It took Huge plays from a very talented squad to keep from losing against Washington, Mississippi St, and Georgia, so if it wasn't for the talent on the team we could be looking at possibly a 5-6 record now, the offense scheme and play calling has done nothing but bring this team down. I am done and you can scolled me but thats what I see and the way I feel...

Because you posted twice, I didn't know where to respond, so I picked this one.

    ITA with this assessment!

I still like Miles - there I said it. However, he is more of a delagator who prefers to act as a "Big Daddy" for his kids, unlike a Saban or a Meyer who micromanage everything. I don't have a problem with his style (isn't that the way Reagan and the two Bushes ran this country?), but that style also means that he will only be as good as his assistants. In his first season, he had Fisher and Pellini, and he could rely upon them to get things accomplished. Then, Fisher left and he hired Crowton and Pellini left and he went with that Co-D debacle. That's when we started seeing some of this crap on the field because these guys weren't/aren't doing their jobs and teaching the kids the very basics of football. We're now seeing the defense turn around as the kids are learning his system (although the past couple of weeks have been huge setbacks where I'm hoping it's simply a case of injuries), and there's no reason to think the same can't happen if Les ditches Crowton and brings aboard an OC with established SEC credentials like he did with Chavis.

this is probably the most accurate statement I've seen posted.

I'd like to see Miles go because we deserve a top tier coach but I think you are right, I am sure he will stay.

and like you I agree with a good OC we may never see the poor game management that seems to haunt Miles.

he has many other good traits as a coach, but again he just isnt top tier and I think LSU deserves top tier.

They need to send GC on his merry way, with a pat on the back and a warm cup of coffee.

Pretty much agree with that... that is basically what I have been saying all year.

Right on the money with this one... basically a few individual plays a game has allowed LSU to pull out what are actually loopsided games... although I think the Georgia game was a split of halves.

Crowton's destruction of this offense is nearly complete. But but but but he's a genius.

Found this out on espn, what is funny is most of their fans warned LSU fans that this would happen years ago. The moron prophecy has been fulfilled.

By far the most intelligent post I have read on here in quite some time.

Pop used to say that a Genius is just a strange man from a strange land carrying a suitcase. For Crowton it's that magical playbook he carries around from school to school. Funny how we annoint the next Golden Boy Genius, whether in business or sports, before he's ever really shown anything. From now on, beware of the Genius label, particularly applied to football coaches. You'll get burned almost every time.

Well, in The Advocate today, Miles assumed responsibility for the poor clock management at the end of the game. That would be a great place to start on the list of things that can change this year:tigereye:

I agree, if he can't get the hang of it he needs to hire a time keeping assistant to remind him what to do :thumb:.

the thing that gets me is CLM didn't take responsibility for calling the spike when they shown him running down the side lines signaling spike the ball....

but end the end they will not get rid of him (CLM) this year, but Crowton needs to go and if he doesn't, then they both of them should hit the road before season starts next year! Crowton for being a horrible OC, and CLM for not being smart enough to see that about Crowton.

He dodged the responsibility last night. I'm sure the question will come up again in a press conference. We'll have to see what his answer will be then:tigereye:
