NATO members have had 4 years to reach their 2% commitment goal. But you want a denuclearization agreement with NoKo hammered out in 30 days?

Only 5 countries are at the agreed-upon 2% financial contribution...US, Britain, Estonia, Greece, Poland. Estonia and Poland are there because of the Russian threat. Greece was facking bankrupt not that long ago and THEY managed. France, Italy, Canada, Germany, Portugal....eff all of them. I'll give Turkey a break because they have so many human resources deployed. And that's another issue....we contribute way too many of our own to international efforts when it's THOSE countries who should be committing people if they don't have the money. This is the part where folks on the left can chime in to talk about how great life is in those countries

Everyone from Abe Lincoln to Warren Buffett to PT Barnum and Mark Twain have filed for bankruptcy. Obama tied up billions in tax payer dollars to fund green companies....which all failed so Obama bankrupted you and your money. Marc Cuban nearly took the Mavs in to bankruptcy. BK's on Atlantic City ventures had nothing to do with Trump's business acumen. AC sucked as a town and way too many other casinos opened closer to the New York/Jersey crowd that had been going to AC. Trump knows failure and recovery and he doesn't quit.

Why shouldn't NATO pay its bills? Holy cow - we pay for everything in this world. Let them fork over some dough for a change.

those things aren't good but I suspect he would say that he was/is taking advantage of all available laws to avoid tax, etc, etc.

Since those things happened he became the President of the United States, and each of us needs to ask:

What has he done since becoming president that has been good for the country?

    How's your 401k doing?

    Unemployment up or down?

    Are we closer to war?

Are American interests overseas being protected/advanced, etc?

We have problems to fix internationally but to think that all was ok with our trade imbalance is just not true. We SHOULD have an imbalance as we (USA) purchase more goods/services et al but not to this degree. Are tariffs a viable solution? not so sure but it won't be status quo anymore. We cannot continue to give away our intellectual property and expect good things to happen.

How it going with NOKO? we've got work to do but I do credit trump for trying something differently. At a minimum DPRK was given the opportunity to join the world and it will be evident to all as to why if they choose not to. By giving them the photo op, etc. Trump has put the ball squarely in their court and Trump will call them out either way.....then act. The upcoming putin summit will be most interesting, especially with scotus and the mid-terms coming up

Here's the deal for me...I didn't vote for him and was shocked when he won. BUT HE DID WIN. As more and more comes out about the Russia investigation it becomes more evident that the investigation was into trump and not Russia. Something smells and I don't think it's Trump....even with 90% negative media coverage....now if/when something comes of the investigation that changes things, but it hasn't happened yet and nothing has appeared on the horizon BECAUSE THERE HAVEN'T BEEN ANY LEAKS LATELY.

I don't agree with some of his tactics, his bombastic nature, etc, etc, etc but at this point we have to say that his 2 yrs have been an success.

What's happening with me I suspect is happening with many people around the USA...I keep being told of all the evil trump is doing everywhere but don't see lots of evidence. At some point those leading the charge have to produce, yet they've failed to do so.

I have to agree with everything you said.
Sure, I wish he would tine down his bombastic nature and act more presidential but his being a non politician and non traditional is is exactly what got him elected.

Ok, rephrase, since you have to have things so literal - NATO should pony up for their own defense.
