Then ran the table in the SEC. That would put LSU as the SEC champ and Bama in the championship game without having won its conference, or even its division. Would there be as many complaints about them getting in? Just food for thought.

There is no doubt in my mind if LSU was in Alabama's situation that we would be screaming for a rematch too.

I think thats the big issue. If you can't win your conference or in Bama's case your division, why should you get a shot at big prize. They should make a rule that only conference winners play for the crown.

The question is, if LSU was in Alabama's situation, would LSU have been given the same consideration, with the media fawning all over them like they did Alabama? Obviously it's a non-issue since it didn't happen that way; I really believe that Alabama benefitted mainly due to the ESPN hype and voters that can't think for themselves.

All that said, let's go out there and kick some Gump arse on January 9th and settle this once and for all.

If the lil 12 would not have let texa$$ run off several of there members they would have still have a CC game. Giving OK State another game to pass Bummer... I dont feel bad for them. Does Bama belong of course not. But I luv pounding them so much it doesnt matter

I think Alabama benefited most from the fact that the world was left with OSU. Simply unacceptable.

I agree with this and have stated it many times over since '03 (OU lost to K-State in the Big XII title game that year).

I disagree with putting LSU in Alabama's position, first of all you can use what if's about anything but it really means nothing. There will always be a problem with the BCS and college football until they come up with some kind of playoff system. Nothing is perfect but it simply isn't where it needs to be.
I have a what if for you........
LSU throttles Bama in the BCS CG, Over half the country is going to say Alabama shouldn't have been in that game. There is as much a chance of that happening is any what if scenario that anyone can come up with. I remember Alabama under Saben didn't show up for one of their bowl games, against Utah or someone?

I have to agree, Alabama needed a lot of dominoes to fall, and of course the whole BCS process is ridiculous and idiotic... Nonetheless, i think the two best teams were chosen.

    Congratulations to you Tusk.
