I am confident LSU will win, but if they don't, a lot of people will be singing a different tune around here. Bank it. If LSU loses, I don't see them dropping past #2 in the polls, unless the AP voters want to make a statement about OSU being left out, assuming they roll Stanford.
I never said there was not a difference in 03 and 11......all I said is since the BCS has been out I have never and will never recognize the ap champ as the National Champion. At the begining of every year the coaches all sighn on to agree to go by what the BCS comes up with to play in the National title game! That's what's agreed upon, so that's what I go with. So as far as I'm concerned...no matter who gets the AP paper champ, it can be used to light someone's fireplace, I will recognize the holder of the crystal ball as champ!
If Alabama wins, give them the BCS Trophy and the AP National Title. A) It's not like they wont claim it anyway & B) It's the way it is supposed to be. You lose YOUR OUT, It is nothing more than a handshake, a congratulations and a "I'll see you next year" Exactly what Alabama should have done when they were beat at home back in November. Cause trust me folks There is no doubt in my mind LSU is playig for it all again next year down in Miami Gardens. Just beat everybody else, lose at home to Alabama, and we get the rematch right? Absolutely!
If Bama wins 23-21, then we do it like they do in futbol and we win with a final score of 30-29 based off both legs.
Exactly. That AP crown USC got is still stuck in my craw. As bitter a pill losing would be, I will never proclaim LSU AP NC winner if we didn't win the crystal. And I will jump all over anyone who would. But, not to worry. LSU won't lose.
