He's played quite a bit of fullback actually. The key to getting the running game going is to force opponents to respect our passing game and not line up with 8 men in the box. That comes by developing a consistent vertical passing game.
this site is full of people who seem to have no clue ... i think scott has lined up at fb more than rb or at least close to it
That's actually been the least productive plays for LSU offensively is when Scott is in at FB and KW is the TB. I guess Scott is not faring well in his role as a blocker. But then again there are 9 in the box awaiting the obvious running play.
Link? I think you don't know what the F your talking about. I bet you can count on one hand the # of times Scott played FB for KW. Show me one pick?

From Sept 16... Charles Scott is blocking so well in spot play at fullback that he could be losing his spot as LSU's feature tailback to Keiland Williams. Scott doesn't seem to mind much. In fact, he went to coach LSU Miles during Saturday's game against Vanderbilt and suggested that Williams should be left at tailback."Well, he's a team guy," Miles said of Scott. "He has always been." ... Fullback Quinn Johnson's blocking was a major reason why Scott did so well as LSU's featured back last season. But Johnson finished his career at LSU last season, and the Tigers' new fullbacks have not proven to be as good at blocking as Scott, who has played fullback periodically since coming to LSU in 2006."I think there is an ability that Charles Scott has that makes me and this team need him to play a little at fullback," Miles said. "I think that will happen really for the rest of the season." ... Scott noticed how well Williams was running in the first quarter Saturday when Scott moved to fullback. ... After the score, Scott talked to Miles. "We were struggling," Scott said. "We were getting a little bit here and there. ... Everybody was just kind of focused on me. So I felt like if I could pull and you pitch it to Keiland, we'll score. I mean, hey, that was working." "I really don't mind it," Scott said. "I played fullback before. It means a lot when what you're doing is benefiting your team more. I mean, obviously, I rushed for almost 1,200 yards last year, and we were 8-5. So something was wrong. "Regardless of what I was doing, something was wrong. So I feel like if we've got to switch something up, then so be it."Williams appreciates Scott's unselfishness. "He has a little back injury this week," Williams said with a laugh. "It's nothing serious, but he says it's my fault because he was in there blocking for me so much. Charles is an excellent blocker. I think that's something that people don't realize. ... Williams, who roomed with Scott for nearly two years, was not surprised about Scott's recommendation to Miles during the Vanderbilt game."I knew that," he said. "It wasn't like I was like, 'Wow, I can't believe Charles said that.' Charles is not a selfish guy at all. We want to see each other be successful. "I watched him last year. If he feels he can help the team better at fullback then he'll definitely do that. He's just not about himself and trying to break records." I stand corrected sir. I will make it a point to count this weeks game and see how many times Chuck lines up at FB. Thanks for the link!
