Trust me you didn't offend Tirk, it was more a suggestion to you to not let him get to you. He has a very passionate support for the Tigers and barks really loud to get his desire across.

That's too bad, sorry to hear it. I can tell you from having personal dreams for wanting to play for the Tigers (baseball) squashed, that having an injury derail those dreams can still be a very positive thing. Just don't ever look back and say "what if", be thankful for the life you do end up with.:thumb:

I respect the hell out of that from any tiger fan and have a lot of respect for Tirk ( I have read several of his posts). And I understand where he coming from, I understand that sometimes it does suck to be a fan. I remember walking back to the truck after the UF game last season, I parked across the tracks - Alex Box, so you know I had a lot of time to re-cap what just happened on the field that night, but the bigger disappointment than what took place on the field, was listening to Our own fans **** talk our team and coach, taking their shirts & Jersey's off and throwing them on the ground.

I can see why our fans were upset, I watched the same game they did, with the ridiculous play calling, and watching RS watch EVERY SINGLE PLAY from the sidelines, me thinking and wanting to scream at Miles, "If you are going to lose, that’s ok....but at least lose with your talent on the field" " At least lose by trying something different, after three quarters of calling the same plays over and over - Insanity (Attempting the same thing more than once expecting a different result) which in a sports/games due to fatigue, or a mistake, it is possible to get a different result, but after 3 quarters, with the game still in reach, you have to make a move.

And that’s why Miles is not liked IMO, because our players don’t get out played, our coaches get out coached. But I have seen LM out coach other coaches too! I think he sat on his recruits and youngsters last year, he gave his seniors the opportunity to finish what they started, and 2010 / 2011 we will see if what LM has brought into this program recruiting wise is going to pay off. Which is why I started this thread to begin with. Because I am excited about this year & next.

I should probably post this on one of the other 15 threads about Miles, but I am by no means cheering for LSU to lose to remove Miles from the thrown. I do believe him & believe he believes himself when he says " You come to LSU, you come to win Championships"

But the fact remains, we CANT win them all. And our fans, students need to understand that. Someone said it all in an earlier post, its instant gratification. This Generation is full of Instant Gratification. We saved our money and paid with cash, they finance anything they can get their hands on.

    2 quick points.

I don't think instant gratification is necessarily a generation thing. I think it's a culture thing. Some folks have bought into the instant gratification culture lock, stock and barrell. In all generations currently breathing air.

I think the vocal minority part of the fan base that seems suicidal over a nine win season has just found an easy voice on the internets. They've always been there. Now, they're not just whining to their long-suffering freinds. They get to whine to thousands of people at once!

But I'm just a sunshine pumper. (And if you'd met sunshine, you'd be jealous...)

We do understand that. What drives us crazy is what you yourself pointed out:

And those are things entirely within Les' control.

I know, I agree with what I am saying, but you have to admit, some fans can not accept a loss. I mean Sh!t happens, we lose games. Dont think that I am Happy Hank all the time, I get pissed, I throw and break remotes, when LSU loses, it puts me in a pretty ****ty mood for the remainder of the night. But I get over it and realize, we live to play another game, and next saturday, you can find my A$$ right in front of my TV just as excited as I was the week before.

You are right, when we lose on dumb plays, poor clock management, injuries, or getting screwed by the refs it makes the loss that much harder to accept and we look to blame.

But, it doesnt just happen to us. Go back & watch the last part of last years Big 12 Championship Game. Watch what happened to Nebraska, beginning with the kick going out of bounds, giving Tex great field position, then the BULL**** call they made on the horse collar tackel, then on the LUCKY A$$ pass Colt threw out of bounds, and Nebraska loses on last second long A$$ field goal. That was a heartbraker!!!

Some people, like fans, are just miserable no matter what happens. To borrow a phrase from another poster here, if they find $50 lying on the sidewalk they'll complain it wasn't $100. There will always be bad breaks and calls and things in general beyond your control. I'm happy if I see a team that goes all out, puts forth maximum effort, from both players AND coaches, and does the most with things they CAN control. If we still lose, that's football. You wouldn't want to be around me the rest of the night before I cool off, but you move on.

you should disrespect as much as you can here in the offseason. its boring as f. so boring people are reviewing goddamn radar detectors for ****s sake.

and I like les. hes a dimwit but i like plenty of dimwits. just prefer they not coach my football team or be in charge of the free world. oh well, **** happens.

Also, I didnt mean to call you crocop. I was leaning more toward fedor.

    LOL.....I get called worse.

I agree about Les, honestly all I hear from my Boss(Aggie Fan) Best Friend(Red Raider Fan) and the remainder of my buddies and wives friends husbands(Longhorn Fans) is how sorry they feel for me and LSU players that LM is our coach.

And I cant say anything to back him up or argue with them.
