I am continuing to stay positive thru-out all the media negativity. I could comment on the recent failures of Texas, Oklahoma, and USC at never winning the big games and closing strong, yet returning the next season to be ranked in the top ten and not having the media all over their backs. I’ll agree, a 8 win and then a 9 win season coming off a BCS national championship is unacceptable, BUT ONLY IN TIGER COUNTRY.

My focus is not Les Miles, not on the media, not on the pre-season rankings, not on last years offensive ranking, and whether of not JJ is the guy.

Because All I see, Is that we lost 3 games last year in the regular season. 3 games in a conference that has Dominated the sport of college football the last 4 season, and seasons before those, (LSU in 2003, Auburn in 2004). Our 3 losses all were questionable, regardless of the lack of production on the offense side of the football (Florida, Hell of a Defensive stand by LSU, giving up only 1 touchdown on play that was an obvious missed call on offensive pass interference, But regardless…. LSU played the Gators Good, and Myer & The Gators know that! - Sorry BAMA Fans, I feel we dominated you in every aspect of the game the first 3 quarters, but Injuries and depth caught up to us, and you guys deservingly pulled out the win, but we played you hard, we played at your house, coming off your bye week, we played you a hell of a lot harder than UF did the SECCG game, and Texas did in the BCS game – AND YOU KNOW THAT, but this year, we got you in Death Valley, coming off our bye week as well AND TRUST ME – ITS ON!!!!!, as for the Ole’ Miss Game, well……no need to comment on that)

Anyhow, I saw the good in every down we snapped the football last season. Every snap for Jefferson was another snap under his belt, every time critical situation was more experience gained for both JJ and Miles in clock management.

Going into 2010, LSU finally has a QB under center who started and completed a season the previous year, we have a bigger & stronger O-Line, we have running back & receiving corps of sick speed and talent taking our playbook to a whole new level. We have The Number ONE Cornerback in the nation, leading, coaching, and guiding our secondary, and preparing them for championship level football. We have a 1st team All American Line backer coaching, guiding, and leading our linebackers as well as a HUGE group 8 deep of HUNGRY, ANGRY, AGGRESSIVE defensive lineman out to prove that LSU will be the #1 Defense in the SEC & the Nation this year!

So screw the media, screw the disgruntled fan base, screw the distractions, IMHO, anything less than returning to Atlanta this Christmas, IS FAILURE!!!!

There is too much talent, emotion, skill, anger, and hunger, storming that field in Purple & Gold this season to lay down and take a loss.

39 Days, 9 hours, and 5 minutes – LSU FOOTBALL BABY!!!!!!!

Im sorry, I had to vent, this is the only place I can vent LSU football.

I live in Houston surrounded by bandwagon (T-Shirt) Texas Longhorn Fans

The Ignorance is ridiculous down here with Longhorn fans. Im not sure how much you guys watch college football live, but Mack Brown was on the show Monday, he sits there, knowing that himself, along with any college football fan that has a functioning brain(Besides Longhorn Fans)…..Knows that Texas plays a weak a$$ schedule year in & year out! - But these fans actually feel that they don’t!!!!!

Then Mack has the audacity to say, “Well you know for the first time in a while we have to open our season up on the road and go down and play a strong Rice football team” “then we come home to face Wyoming, followed by Texas Tech in Lubbock and UCLA comes to town. You know the last time UCLA came to Austin they beat us 66 to 3, so you see we have a tough few weeks opening up the season”

I’ll agree Les Miles is not a great speaker, but add Mack Browns dumb A$$ and up there with Les and George W on three guys that have no business being at the podium!

Open the Season on the road?????????????? Guy, you are playing at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX, that will be filled with 99.9% burnt Orange Longhorn fans against ...........RICE!!!!!

Wyoming???? Really???? - UCLA might have beat you before, uh….. but that was in 1997!!! Where are they now?

Sh!t just frustrates me, that’s all. I mean how can the college football world show Texas any respect! Go play Miami, go play V-tech, Wisconsin, hell, just ONE SEC team!! – Play Miss. State!!

Its all good, I have OU, A&M, & Nebraska knocking Texas back into reality this year!

    just awesome

agree with all of it and can't wait

in BR Les needs to be fired

He can't coach in the SEC

We need a Saban - Myer type coach

Les lost all the Saban players and he is history

Sad to see LSU returning to the 90's

    uggg

    be glad your in Houston

Jimmy Ott on 1210 is Saban West central - uggggg

quite honestly, it's no longer fun to be a fan. i mean it's still fun to tailgate and all but the football part of it is no longer fun for me.

my freshman yr at LSU was 94, beating AU the next yr put me on cloud nine. all the ups and the downs thru the yrs were fun and it was a great ride. but it gave birth to a new kind of fan base. one i'm not too fond of.

    what happened to fun?

    Fun.

winning isn't fun anymore, it's a relief. it's like when pain medication starts to work.

losses used to be tempered with "we'll get 'em next year" now it's the death of the program.

is this the equivalent of the garage band that hits it big and can't handle success and eventually they tank and sever all ties and go their separate ways but the movie ends with the band getting back together and playing in the garage like old times?

did i just mention the plot of the south park guitar hero episode??

am i just typing everything i'm thinking???

this year, thank God for the Saints, who i'm sure the fan base will ruin in 2-3 yrs. i need a drink....

Sadly this really sums it up quite nicely, and you can take Miles and chunk him right out the window because it isn't really about him. It's entitlement. When people can bitch and complain the whole way through a 11 win season, a SECC, and a NC? It's pure entitlement.

A distant second but a second. It is what the fan base has become. Instant gratification leads to over expectations followed by over analytical presumptions that human error can be no excuse. Winning on paper should be enough.

I refuse to allow that cause I know what is fun and desire to keep it there. For some, a 11 win season will be two years too late.

What is manifested is now before you I say otherwise, why even watch the game? For a change, being geographically removed from the majority fanbase is a good thing. Helps keep reality in perspective.
