Thomas was never charged with a thing in any of those incidents. He does have a knack for being in the wrong place, at the wrong time though. It's not a crime to hang around idiots.

Are you kidding me duckfan??. I could care less about the weed if they aren't driving 114mph which is actually slower than they were traveling according to the police. If they killed someone I guess they should play because it wasn't during a football game?? It is illegal. They are lucky they didn't kill themselves or more importantly someone else who was actually going to or coming home from work. They should be SUSPENDED because they are stupid *******s that need to learn a lesson. They broke the law and weren't even legally driving. Isn't that what happens when u are young and you do something as ridiculous as this? It's cheating when DT steps on the field and a one game suspension for Harris is also laughable. I'm not saying crucify these kids but if you do this stuff you get to sit. Period. Kelly is a smug little prick with a complex who lacks the spine to do the right thing because he knows he needs every bit of help he can get on Sept 3rd. Like I said, Les would suspend them indefinitely especially if the leader of the team is in the same position for the second time around. He wouldn't think twice and he would roll with who was left win or lose. Bottom line: INTEGRITY. Do you really think things like this going unpunished won't eventually be the downfall of his tenure? If you don't then you are a clown.

And don't bother bringing up RP. He was suspended each time he messed up. Coaches make promises to families that they will take care of their kids and I truly believe CLM does that until it is beyond simple youthful exuberance.

You keep saying "They". "They" wasn't driving, Cliff Harris was. He was ticketed by the state police, and suspended indefinitely by Chip Kelly.
They could have killed someone, but they didn't. What did Darron Thomas do? At 4:30 in the morning after a long day interviewing with ESPN, he was probably asleep when it was all going down. You don't know the details of the situation, so for you to make a blanket judgement is off-base.

Chip Kelly has been pretty good as far as discipline for the team in his tenure. He suspended Blount for most of the season for "The Punch", which in most peoples eyes around here, was too harsh...considering what other things happened in college football that year. He booted a Heisman hopeful off the team, he kicked a starting WR off the team for a tweet. He kicked a linebacker off the team for DUI. He's not afraid of discipline.

But he's fair, doesn't rush to judgement, and get's all the facts in a case before he makes a call. It pisses off some around college football (and the media), but I see that as the right thing to do. No one should hand down a punishment that doesn't fit the crime. DT's crime? Getting a ride home from Portland from a teammate and his cousin.

Of course he is never charged, you dont send the QB and team captain to jail! Thats why the phone call was made by the Trooper, what the hell do you think he was talking about, the weather? Cops usually use radios to communicate back to the house, not cell phones.............

This will be my First - "Come on Man!!!" - Of the season
