    Ranked 17th in the nation and up by 7 over the #3 ranked LSU Tigers, LSU faced a 4th and 4 from the 32 yard line with less than 3 minutes to play.

    Alabama was on the verge of bursting in the top 10 in the nation, as well as having a stranglehold on the SEC West. Saban in just his first year was turning the program completely around. A BCS bowl was even a possibility at that point. Who knows, maybe if they run the table, they even sneak into the national championship game.

    Matt Flynn, under duress, completes arguably his best throw of the year in very tight coverage to Early Doucet, who then jukes and jives all the way to paydirt to tie the game.

    Well we know the rest.

    LSU ruined Alabama and even more importantly Nick Saban's season. Alabama would go on to lose to powerhouses Mississippi State and UL-Monroe and would eventually accept an invitation to the Toilet Bowl, finishing 6-6.

    So please LSU fans, never forget.

    Could you do a duplicate post on the Bama board? I would like to compare comments between our two schools. I'm already looking forward to Coach Saban's visit to Death Valley next year. Think he'll say hi to Mike when he runs on the field? :geauxtige

    Ill post it when I get to work. I really don't give a damm if I'm banned from that alleged forum. All they do is whine and talk crazy nonsense so it wouldn't bother me if I get banned.

    I'll never forget how we should have destroyed Alabama, with or defense starters hurting or out...we let a piss-poor Bama, Ole Miss, teams hang around long enough for everyone to doubt us.
