Taysom and Simien both out with Covid, and it looks like Ian Book will start vs the Dolphins Monday night. Appears Armstead and Ramczyk are still out, and now Ramczyk's replacement, Jordan Mills, is also on the Covid list. So are Trautman and Juwon Johnson, and Malcolm Jenkins and a few role players on defense. MNF should be very interesting.
Jeff Duncan wrote this morning that the Saints did reach out to Drew Brees, and that he actually considered it, but said no. If nothing else, Book has the right attitude. Said something along the lines of, we've got a thousand excuses going for us, but we'll be using none of them.
Saints now with 21 on the covid list. And still the league not postponing the game. I think some players will actually have to play both ways tomorrow.
About what you would have expected tonight from a rookie QB who never got to practice once with the 1's. Not that there were many 1's around him on the field anyway.
The refs certainly didn't do us any favors considering we hardly had any starters on either side of the ball playing. The fish didn't need that kind of help.
