Ole Miss has played 2 bad teams true, but they completely destroyed them. I'd be more confident if they only won by 30 or less. A&M, I'm not anointing them, I'm just saying they have gotten better, and even when they are ok, they still have played us pretty close. Can LSU beat all these teams? I don't think there is any doubt, absolutely they can. If LSU could play against the team on the other sideline instead of playing against themselves, I think LSU could make that 4 team playoff. But I'm not ready to say they won't continue to be their own worst enemy.

If I had to bet right now, I'd say Auburn is a win, South Carolina is a win. That's 2 games I saw going the other way by a slim margin, that I think LSU wins now. I would pick Alabama and Ole Miss to beat LSU, and I would still take LSU over A&M because it's at home. But all of games could go either way so it wouldn't shock me to see a 7 win season, and it wouldn't shock me to see a 10 win season either. It's a coin flip as long as LSU continues to solely rely on the transparent rushing attack.

It truly depends how we move forward. If we coddle the passing game, telegraph plays because we have hairy chest and saggy balls, then yea we will lose a few games..

If we let these kids play... I mean, we have STUDS at WR..

I know we have to give it to LF7 but he can be used while not being used if you catch my drift.

Georgia Tech threw 4 less passes than LSU did last night. Our statistics are comparable to a triple option based offensive team. That's pretty one dimensional if you ask me.

On the bright side, we held MSU to 3/15 3rd down conversions..

Our Dline wont last if we do this to them every game

I'd like to believe that, but what does Miles know about Harris now that he didn't know before the game? We know he can safely hand the ball off, and that he can run well when he makes the right decision in the read option. Knew that already. He started the game throwing the ball well, everyone seems to agree. So why let the air out of the ball with 2 and a half quarters to play? How does that help Harris prove that he can do the things that will be asked of him? The way the play calling evolved indicates to me that Miles is no more confident in Harris than he was before kickoff.

Well, he's not an All-American, not yet. Probably will be. But that aside, how smart is it to utilize him in a manner that every person in a 60,000 seat stadium can easily recognize? Sure, when its 3rd and one, everyone supposed to know 7's going to get the ball, and its up to the entire offense to impose its will. But, when you've got talent the likes of Dural, Dupre, Smith, Quinn and more out there, doesn't it help Fournette in the long run to find ways to get them the ball as well?

I think he was about as confident as when Harris played Auburn on the road in front of a raucous crowd last year--not very. Les wasn't going to let that disaster happen again and neither was Harris. Harris still has a lot to prove and maybe Stark Vegas wasn't the place to do it. Next week at home will be a very different situation. I don't think Les lacked confidence in Harris as much as he had a lot of confidence in Fournette and the O-line.

He is on several pre-season All America teams and a Heisman candidate. I think its safe to call him an All-American.

Did it look like Fournette needed any help to you? Yes, a balanced offense will be better in the long run, but there will be times when we are going to be a power running team this year. Nothing wrong with that when we can pull it off. And we did.

Yes, it did. Know why? Because in a game LF piled up All-American style numbers, we still scored only 21 points, and had to sweat out a long FG on the last play to hold on for the win. Because on the last couple of drives, where we had the chance to close it out and not even let their offense have the last shot, we couldn't pick up critical yardage, because everyone knew what we were going to do with the ball. We spent the last 2 and a half quarters showing our hand.

Just watched the Cardinals throw for a 50 yard touchdown in the last 2 minutes to beat the Saints. They were winning by 5 and everyone "knew" they were going to run the ball and make the Saints burn their remaining timeouts. But as John Lynch said, "Bruce Arians plays to win." Bingo.
