1. Here's the thing...

The playcalling worked perfectly... Dural had 2 TD's called back. That makes the score 35-19.

The "incomplete" pass to Dupre gets called correctly, we probably score at least 3 more. 38-19. If the refs see Bower getting held by the LT who was falling to the ground, instead of just seeing Godchaux with the BS hands to the face penalty they get backed up 10 yards. Does this affect the game? No. But they blew that call.

If Hawkins doesn't hold on Williams' long run, we get the ball down to the 18 for a 1st down... We were perfect in the redzone so I will give us that 7... 45-19.

So you mean to tell me that you're pissed at Cam and Les' playcalling and personnel usage when the score SHOULD have been Us +26... Whatever floats y'all boat. But seriously, rewatch that game with the notion that we already won... You will see it differently. Look at how well they run was working. Look how the defense for Moo St lined up on 3rd and long... It might change your viewpoint.

  2. Jennings just wasn't that good. His film now looks just like his film in high school. Throws a pretty deep ball, but mentally breaks down when under pressure. It sucks, but it is what it is. Last year he understood the system, but just couldn't execute. Harris didn't know the system and we can't put a guy that the other 10 players don't have faith in, be in command of the huddle because he can't even call out the play without stuttering.

  3. If the last field goal hooks to the left. That's one "if" that has nothing to do with the opinions of the guys whose job it is, is to have opinions. Let's throw a second "if" in there - if MooU doesn't have an epic brain fart and get delay of game, the likelihood of that last field goal goes way up. Les Fd up just enough to win.
  4. 14 pass plays, you don't see the same old story? Wisconsin, Florida last year, Texas A&M, Alabama, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, and Miss ST.

LSU had Mississippi State on the ropes last night and for some reason Les decided to take his foot off the gas and just start handing the damn ball off to 7 and 34 every play. A few mixed in play actions on 1st down here and there, maybe on second down, but no, run run and if it's 3rd and 5 or more pass, 3rd and 5 or less run again and punt. And Mississippi State clawed back into the game and if not for a bone head drop, would have been tied.

Mississippi State doesn't even come close to having the same amount of talent LSU does. And conservative bullshit allowed them to come back and almost win that game. LSU should have beaten them by at least 4 TD's.

  5. If you are going to do "what ifs", and be fair, then do some "what ifs" from MSUs perspective, too.

You can always do "what ifs" after every game beginning in high school. It's BS.

Bottom line is that LSU should have blown out that team, but instead, had to rely on a delay of game, 2 knucklehead time outs, heart attack inducing sequence to win the game. Or, more correctly, to not lose the game that they should have won by the 2nd quarter.
  6. What does it matter if we don't use the quarterback
  7. Ok... lets leave off the field goal and the possible extra TD...

Does Moo State score more than 21 in this game? No. We had TWO touchdowns taken off the board.

I really think y'all wanna be mad just for the sake of being mad. We controlled the line of scrimmage and made the game really simple for a kid in his second ever start. Did anyone really expect for us to NOT run it down their throats like they did us last season?

2nd start. On the road. SEC West opponent. Damn cow bells... I am perfectly fine with the play calling now that I have rewatched the game. Shouldn't have been close, but that is what happens when you commit silly penalties and have refs of the caliber that we did last night.

  8. We do use them. To hand the ball off to the best player in college football. #buganation
  9. those are positives, for sure. watch again. run, run, pass....run, run, pass. that's what most of the 2nd quarter was, and nearly costs us the game. 22 runs on 24 first and 10 plays. that is what is so frustrating. we were very near losing a game we should have won in a blowout, and I'm personally not a fan of blaming the refs.

  10. Let's see how long the best player in the nation lasts when we continue to give him the ball 30 times a game against 10 man fronts.
