I disagree with your post here. Injuries or not LSU shouldn't be dead last in red zone defense. That has to be some kind of coaching problem. As good as Pelini is outside the red zone something isn't right when the field shrinks and yet you can't stop anyone.
Atlanta, you don't get it because you are more level headed and have an attention span of longer than 24 hours. Some of these folks are just fair weather fans and sunshine soldiers. They don't understand that "long term" means over a period of years, not hours. I look at the record for the past three years and say "WOW". They look at the last 24 hours (which may tax their memories to the max) and go "Aw, crap! ldskule:
Oh, I agree completely that something is wrong with our redzone D. I took the previous post to mean our D as a whole has gotten weaker because of coaching. I think teams are mounting long drives on us now, because we haven't been healthy since early this year.
wow some harsh comments in this thread. Miles can seek refugee status here in Ann Arbor, obviously hes not wanted down in BR anymore. whos gonna be your new head coach?
I personally hope he stays but if he leaves I'll take Darth Visor. I don't care what anyone says about him. I just think some changes need to be addressed on red zone defense and defense versus mobile QB's!:yelwink2:
We were healthy for the Tulane game when all the problems started. The injuries are plaguing us but you are still wrong. How can you NOT blitz Dick on 4th and 10? When you keep getting beat over and over you need adjustments. They werent coming. Its elementary that when a QB has all day he will take a D apart. Yet, we never try to blitz? Injuries are a part of the game get over. Take the rose colored glasses off and look at things honestly. The coaching has been sub par this year. Im not saying all the garbage of fire Miles. He has done a good job previously. Im just saying this year the overall coaching hasnt been good.
92,000 fans sitting on their hands for 3/4 of the game. An offense that had the ball four times less than 60 yards from the goal line in the first half and could only manage 6 points. A defense that only allowed 130 yards of offense in the first half and a Arkansas team that was allowed to believe they could win the game by the fans and the first half performance of the offense. That is the problem.
Lloyd Carr. Imagine what he'll do with a full roster of I-A talent. ...or maybe we can hire that coach from Appy State? ...I forgot his name, but I'm SURE you know it...in fact, I bet you'll NEVER forget it.
