It's hard to stay put anywhere there's a lot of negative pressure and controversy, especially if you have itchy feet to start with. Bill Curry couldn't take the heat and Coach Fran was almost mental the way he left T-Town. Coach Saban seems to love the big moment and the pressure to win. That makes him a good fit beyond the fact he can coach. If things went south for whatever reason, then his past nature and convictions will be put to the test. I wouldn't be shocked either way. Coach Miles for the most part has done extremely well dealing with some of these issues in the past two years. It's probably the main thing I admire most . He does not seem to give in to negative pressure, nor does he talk much on the subject. I like the way Saban had Bama playing after the disappointing 07 season. I appreciate the way Bama was focused this past season after the Florida, Utah games. These were adverse circumstances, not to meantion many off the field incidents with player's conduct and choices. At this point, as I have stated fairly and many times, both Saban and Miles seem to be more then willing to stand by their convictions, one way or the other.
Not for bama! They've won every national championship since the sun turned on! And surely if they EVER lost one, that coach would be history...doing good things around the community that only losers have time for.
yeah i guess doing something good in the community in alabama would be not knocking up your sister, or maybe donating a tooth or something.
ditto. but red's chrohn's disesse post reminded me of that episode.
