Your reference to a "cult of o" destroys your credibility. There is no "cult of o". Nothing even close to one. There are 2 camps where he is concerned. The camp that says let's wait and see how he does, and the camp that believes he was a desperate, disastrous hire. Les is gone; he won't be back. The fact that, despite the long list of positives he can point to during his LSU tenure, he hasn't gotten a single offer to coach in almost two years, speaks volumes about his standing in the college coaching community. His criticism of his successor reeks of bitterness.
There are a few posters that seem to defend O no matter what. I think they see it as being good fans.. But it's reasonable to expect someone better & more qualified as head coach. Can't beat 1 ranked team, lose to Troy & State and expect to win championships. Saban taking 6 Louisiana recruits in 2017 was humiliating. O claimed to be this great recruiter, but got raped in his own state.
We beat Auburn did we not? We had pretty terrible line play and depth that attributed to most of the losses. Play calling was pretty trash as well in the Redzone. 3 of the 4 losses we out-gained the team but just couldn't score points. Its not all Doom and Gloom. Though some just focus only on negatives.
Most confuse accepting reality vs "we love O". Non- of us would have Coach O in our top 5 of coaches wanted. Joe didnt ask us.
