LOL...to be fair, I've been a die-hard Miles supporter through thick and thin. Granted, I've voice my own opinions about some of the worst of it...like clock management. I'm just coming on here and saying that I was wrong about my assessment of Les's judgement of talent. He was right about JJ. I just needed to see it.
In you opinion Crowton has been calling plays designed to make the QB's look bad and the offense inept. is that correct?
Got to look at it this way -- Les knows the team better than any of us do. People complain about Les's loyalty, and he may be loyal to a fault. Well you know what, and I say this with the benefit of hindsight, think of the alternative yesterday had Les not stuck with JJ this entire year (maybe JL has a great game if he starts, maybe not). I know we can play the "what if" game from now until the cows come home. Bottom line is Les has a lot of integrity and treats the team with respect. As we all know, the respect for Les by the team is returned ten-fold. I think what we're witnessing is rare in sports nowadays. Call me a pollyanna if you want; I will be the first to admit I'm a 100% sunshine pumper and always try to look for the positives. Now let's win out, hope for some help along the way, and who knows!! :geauxtige
I think Les can kick himself for the offense sputtering at the beginning of the season because I think we all knew, and the team knew that Jordan was going to be the starter, and I don't think it was even up for debate. If there would have been a healthy competition at quarterback from the minute the Penn State game ended last season, I would bet that Jefferson would have looked alot better earlier. I hope these 2 keep pushing each other.
Crowton hasn't been calling plays that usually help struggling QB's like Jefferson and Lee. His play calling asks too much of them. They haven't developed like they should have since coming to LSU.
Agree. And one game does not reverse all of that. Now, I do hope it turns out to be more than one game...but I seriously doubt I'll change my mind about Crowton.
