How does a guy who has been a starter since his freshman year get a bigger role? Mills' role is already huge.
Because his role has changed. He will be expected to lead the secondary, make the calls and of course make the plays. The success of our defense could be predicated on how well he grows into this role, hopefully improving the coverages next season. We had so many blown coverages last year in important situations that lead to losses.
With the two Corners we have, Mills and whomever the other Safety is, have a better chance to play defense like Chief and the staff likes. Mill is a talent, I like him at the Safety position.
