Losing to Alabama did Miles in and the other games with Ole Miss and Arkansas. You got to be your rival half the time. Right ,wrong, indifferent, thats just the way it is.
It's the fashion, in which, LSU is losing to the SEC West teams. No motivation, no will to win, nothing. In my 42 yrs, I don't remember LSU being some juggernaut against Alabama, so I'm not sure why that's the litmus test on a Head Coach. Saban had a good run against Alabama, and when Miles was first hired.
I don't call the 31-0 beating Saban took at home from Alabama in '02 all that great. Otherwise, Saban had a good record against Bama, but of course, Bama wasn't close to what they are now.
Thats a good point and sometimes you just have to take those games and deal with it. Then you come back next year and give them a beating. Fans will understand bad games happen. To lose to a team over and over fans will not take.
Yes, we're pretty tired of losing to Bama, and dammit if we don't also have a losing streak going with Arkansas and their head hawg, Bielema. Some things cannot be stomached.
Not saying it can't happen finding a different coach, but my point is LSUs history against Bama isn't that great. So I don't see why this game would be the end all for a Head Coach. I believe Miles has thrown in the towel against Bama and now it seems Arkansas. The last few games are inexcusable as far as the preparation and lack of motivation.
Who came up with the NC or bust? I thought it was about winning the SEC West first, then the SECCG, and everything else was a bonus.
As good as LSU recruits and as good of a program as they have no reason why they shouldn't be able to beat their rivals on a consistent basis, including Alabama.
I meant who/what awarded them.....it's hard to imagine claiming nc's with multiple losses but that's just me...
