I'll tell you why this will never happen.

    1. There is no longer a BCS
    2. Other teams can come back from setbacks like this. The only way LSU does, is if there is another monumental collapse by multiple teams like in 07.
    3. There is nothing Les can do to win us back. The honeymoon is over, this marriage is over. It's time to move on.

this is some Les miles level thinking here. Yeah what if nick Saban died and 125 other teams players all got the zika virus for the remainder of the season. what the fuck.

It apparently went over your head. I'm not surprised.

Saban dropping dead might help but Zika is like having a cold in adults. Just saying, the disease you are looking for is smallpox. Or Gillian Barre, sudden temporary loss of motor control and partial paralysis might help. Maybe

I'm gonna side with COTiger on this one. I do agree with the majority that this looks to be Miles' final season. He got one more year to try to get it done, and the first game was an epic fail. At this point, however, we might as well let him finish the season. As COTiger suggests, there is still a very small chance that this team could do something great. Why not give them that chance? The decision to keep Miles is a sunk cost, so we might as well ride it out at least to the end of the regular season. Firing him now accomplishes nothing other than to create a tidal wave of recruiting decommits and a lame duck coaching staff thinking about their next job. The best move is to support this team during the regular season and then take action between the end of the season and the bowl game. No coach worth having will move before then anyway.

I fully expect us to "rally" just enough to end up 9-4, losing to Bama of course, and the beat goes on. Mark my words, Miles will NEVER beat Bama again....NEVER. Please GOD, let me be wrong!
