Watching Bo Pelini poking Les Miles out of his "staring off into space" trance to call time out in the forth quarter as the Marcus Monk (6’6") mismatch was in place for the upcoming play typifies the game that Les supposedly attended yesterday. What game were you really at Les?

If you were at this one why didn't you call for a review on the first quarter pass that was miss called incomplete but obviously was a catch? Why did you continuously keep running the same non working short route plays over and over. Why didn't you go for 4th and two to keep momentum? Why didn't you blitz to end the game when Arkansas was 4th and 10? How did you miss the touchdown erasing illegal formation right in front of your eyes as you stood there? What game were you watching when you called back to back time outs, giving them the ball with enough time for a field goal attempt? Where was that innovation and enthusiasm that was so present in September?

What was so interesting out in space that you had to be poked by Bo Pelini to pay attention? Were you in Ann Arbor? I hope so because that is where you belong. "Welcome Les Miles," the next U of M head coach, marching lock step in stride into the next chapter of a Sixty Year Tradition of losing the big games (since 1948) . Forget 1997, Nebraska really won that national championship. You fit their mould Les, pack your bags, and drop off Bo Pelini in Lincoln on your way. You’ll be another legend in Ann Arbor.

I would personally rather go back to the ho-hum days when we (LSU) were a good team with foggy national title aspirations and no smoke and mirrors, than to be torturously put through this revolving door of hall of fame coach wanna-be's who blow through here like tornados, making a lot of noise and sucking everything out as they leave. It’s like constantly going to the dance and having your date leave with someone else. I'm not advocating mediocracy, I'm saying if we're going to go around the country pounding our chests, we better be prepared every week to "take it to them", not play well enough to get by.

This was a terribly unfortunate waste of talent. The next coach???? How about a proven performer whose credibility and performance hasn’t tanked like Nick’s has, and someone old (experienced) and/or successfull enough not to have questionable motives. The "Old Ball Coach"? I don’t think so --- great coach, fun to watch but I think the game has passed him. Butch Davis? Maybe, but the same may be true. The others from Rutgers and Boise State... same as what we've had. How about Sean Payton? His relocation package would be minimal, and his son Colin already has LSU gear. Now there is the formula for a dynasty.

wow. nice to see you're a contributor right at kickoff!

maybe CLM was staring off in space trying to figure out how to stop the hog wild offense. maybe he was listening to crowton or pellini or someone else on the headset. maybe he was asking himself some of the same questions you're asking now.

winning the sec west division has no meaning to you? getting to the sec championship game has no meaning to you? was a national championship berth that important to you?

as far as a waste of talent. in one way only do i see that as even remotely true - no national championship. otherwise, that talent has enjoyed the #1 spot several weeks this season and being in the top 5 the rest of the time. that talent, under CLM's direction, has gotten a tremendous amount of television time and national media exposure that will be nothing but good for the Tigers and for LSU in the long run. that talent played their hearts out and worked their asses off to give themselves, LSU and us fans a great season of football. who else would work that hard for you and not even know you personally? i seriously doubt any of the team would consider this season a waste of their talent. instead i feel confident that they would say it was the experience of a lifetime that would give them life lessons, memories, and positive acknowledgment for the rest of their lives. i would definitely say that the good things and benefits of the actions of the talent of the 2007 LSU football team far outweighs getting another crystal ball in the trophy room this year.

what in the world did we at tigerforums do to deserve such a negative, biting post as your very first? i completely understand your frustration. Arky was an extremely tough loss for LSU.

we need to be a bit more positive and show support for the Tigers we care so much about. there's still two more games this season. they need us now more than ever. never give up on the Tigers. they've come a long way since a decade ago.

Quit pickin' on the guy, he is after all "the head coach...the HEAD COACH". That had to be the most embarrassing (and at the same time the most hilarious) part of the game...the announcers even turned up the mikes so the whole nation could hear the idiot. He needs to catch the next bus outta town.

It definitely sounds a lot goofier when you take it completely out of context.

It seemed to have something to do with calling a timeout, but I really didn't understand exactly why he was reminding the refs of his honcho-ness.
