With all the negative comments about him made by the media, LSU fans and rival fans it appers that he is a helluva lot smarter than they all made him out to be.

Sure he made a mistake by having two DCs. But it looks like he will more than make up for it with a very good hire at DC and clear out some of the dead heads that weren't getting the job done. He looks to be far from a Denardo or Coker, he is his own man and can not be compared to anyone. He is not afraid to make a change when a change is needed like lot of fans assumed.

I don't know all the details about who he is hiring, I have a really good feeling about it though. This could put us at a level that will be untouchable on the field and on the recruiting trail. I am very excited about the future of the program, CLM hit a home run here!

I am hopeful, but calling it a homerun at this point is premature.

If it's one of the top three guys then I would call a very good choice! From what I am reading here and other places it's seems like a done deal. Either way there will be a change and that's a good thing!

I really pray it is a homerun whoever it is for Miles. Miles has done greater things in his first three years than any coach in LSU history but everyone forgets that after one bad year that was expected to be a bad year.

I was not excited when LSU first hired him b/c at the time I knew Spurrier's name was out there and that was the sexy coaching name and style everyone was hoping for. Boy would that have been a disaster. Then I wanted Petrino, but later found out that he is a liar who will up and leave you just like Saban.

Les is a PERFECT coach for our program. 1.)He is a knock out recruiter which is arguably the most vital part of having a successful program. 2.)With the exception of Malveto, he gets a great staff around him and he gets along great with all of his assistants. All that talk about him and Crowton clashing heads is a bunch of BS. 3.) Despite all the so-called fans of LSU bashing him all the time, he loves being here and we can count on him being here and not bailing on us on Christmas Eve as long as we want him unlike other dick coaches (Saban). 4.) He takes chances, which as a fan I love. He wants to win more than any of us and if you can't tell that by looking at him on the sideline than you need a new optometrist.

Getting back to my main point, I hope he gets the right guy because the treatment other fanbases and our own give him is unfair. He is a great coach.

I just can't seem to figure out or understand why he took the chance with the co-DC thing in the 1st place. What gave him the impression it'd be a successful implementation? Hmm who knows... hopefully this works out for the better.

It's fairly obvious. Don't fix what ain't broke. Miles felt that retaining Pelini's defensive coaches would ensure a smooth transition. It didn't work out, but the logic was sound.

Yeah but Pelinis' defense was on it's last leg the second half of last season.
