I didn't think that was YOUR point...I was just making MY point.:yelwink2: I don't disagree with your point(s)...I was just throwing that into the mix. Like I said...I don't think he's going...cuz I don't think they're calling.:thumb:
It's all fine and dandy to go back to your alma mater, but your alma mater doesn't have that kind of love for you as you do them. They'll put you out on your butt just as easily as a non alum if you don't deliver. Then what?
I agree. He may have been in a bad situation and may win forever here. I was commenting more to the fact that I don't know if LSU higher ups would take that chance on Pelini or Crowton no matter how well they may do.
Err, if these guys weren't coaching at LSU how hard would we look at them. Miles to Michigan talk is kinda premature in my view. It is a long season, and opinions change with the wind.
You're right. But he played and coached at Michigan and has made comments throughout his career about wanting the head job at Michigan. Unless Michigan wins against OSU and possibly the Big Ten (which they won't) Crr is gone and Miles more than likely will go. Sad but true... but there'll be plenty of names wanting to take the job.
I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he was interested in Michigan, but taking the Michigan job would mean that he had another good season at LSU and that Michigan continued to struggle (Michigan still might end up getting to a good bowl). Miles has to consider his financials when it comes to moving; too much of a paycut to rebuild, even if it is where your heart is, may not be wise professionally. If he can't rebuild, he gets the axe and has pretty much erased all the progress in coaching circles that got him to LSU in the first place. He may not have to worry about money for the rest of his life, but he might not be able to give up coaching so easily. Plus, if he stayed here he'd just keep making money. If the choice is presented to him, I imagine it will be a toughy. Onward to Kentucky!
Muschamp had nothing to do with Auburn beating us last year... the piss poor officiating did. Bad PI call when we threw a TD, no personal foul call on Hestor when he was hit out of bounds (which would have put us 1st and goal) and the rediculous PI call on our reciever on the last drive we had. You can not be called for PI when you're tackled before the ball gets to you. It was simple... we lost that game due to bad officiating.
