I'm another who would be surprised if Michigan offers that Miles would stay. If that is the case I'd hope they take a long, hard look at Pelini...warts and all. In his first few years here he was a pretty hard man to crack. Now he seems to be breaking a little and becoming more personable. I think he is doing that to push himself as a head coach someday and can walk into a recruits livingroom without looking like someone just fed him bad crawfish.

I think he stays for a long time but if he does go we should either hire Bo or Wil Muschamp.

I want a firery guy on the side lines not a Mack Brown or Loyd Carr type.

I don't think it's going to be as easy as that. Michigan can offer, but in real life, where making money is what makes the world go round, Miles isn't just going to accept a Michigan offer if it's not top dollar--mark THAT.

In the world of coaching, where you really NEVER know when you might be fired and out of work, no one is going to take a job if it's not financially in his best interests.

Muschamp offers NOTHING else BUT being a "firery sideline guy". It's LONG been proved that he was simply coordinator by title here, and the defense was solely Saban's.

Muschamp doesn't have NEARLY the resume' that deserves a high-profile coaching position that LSU offers.

Happiness first. He'll make plenty enough money there and being where his heart is.....that's priceless. But there's are balances in those situataions that people are and do take; however, I'm telling you if Michigan offers he's gone. That's the last time I say it though- remember I said it cause I'd love for someone to kick this thread up and say I was wrong.

Amen. It appears that some fans are already writing him off. Let's let this season play itself out and not become distractions to the team by discussing half-cocked theories about our coach leaving instead of giving him the respect to allow him to address the issue at the proper time.

Coach Miles is a family man, right?
....Maybe that plays into the equation

He met his wife at Michigan. She was coaching there.
