You need to watch the replay. Miles clearly was asking him to spike the ball. if real video evidence doesnt show you that, no amount of typing will. You're just wrong.
Unless we get a really good OC, we will win next year in spite of Miles not because of him. Talent covers a lot of bad coaching. Lafell nearly won the game himself, ( on pure talent ) even after he dropped a few passes early on.
Don't forget the misreads and sloppy discipline on D. Personal fav: SH lined up behind DM, couple yards split and the LSU players chase the phenom.
This post makes the most sense of anything I've read since the game concluded. It centers around coaching. I was able to talk to the parents of a star player on the team late last night. Their son told them the same problems exist in practice. He thinks he made a mistake going to LSU.:insane:
right but its all arbitrary. you cannot assume the refs are idiots and will take forever. you have to decide beforehand and kicking isnt an option. sure afterwards, its easy to see we had time but no way you can assume. you line up and quick snap when the qb touches the centers ass and lob it to the endzone. if you run the kick team out there, by the time the holder gives the signal, no chance to get the snap off. just isnt possible with 1 second. jj under center is the only hope. but still unlikely.
It wouldn't have mattered regardless, if anyone paid attention to the clock, that last second ticked off before the ball was snapped... that spike officially never happened.
