Great point Stacey, I think we can all agree, we would not have gotten a whole lot out of a 38-34 game today. In fact, that would have been depressing. We all know what the offense can do and will continue to do, and that's dominate.
I LOVED that big hit by Ego also. Ego and Freak both were commanding of their double teams today and other people got by and got some pressure on because of it.
no, but that game could have easily been 31-6 w/a different offensive philosophy. but, whatever, its a win.
You see how the defense all starts with those big monsters in the middle, setting it up for everyone else to "eat". If they can play motivated like that the rest of the season, it could be special at the very end.
If we wouldn't have moved the ball all day and only scored 17 I would be worried. But we moved on them at will, it was only due to our own mistakes that cost us.
not worried, just frustrated w/the play calling today. would have preferred a balanced pass to run ratio. if we pass 5-10 more times, we break a few and that game is over much earlier.
I think Landry's injury affected him tonight. Also after Mett was stung in the knee/ankle he was off. I think that was an adjustment to the situation during the game. Something you want in a good coaching staff.
You can tell if a team is good if they can win games in different ways. Now we win a game running the ball and playing D. I like it.
This. The ability to adapt is what separates the men from the boys. We proved today that we can still play big boy football when the occasion calls for it. We looked like last year's team with an offensive pulse. Just slowly sucked the life out of Florida. It was a slow, painful death for the gaytors...and there wasn't a damn thing they could do about it.
