Im also hope we can pick up Francois. With Steltz going after next year even if we get Jones we will still need help at safety. A threesome of McCray, Jones, and Francois would be pretty damn impressive.

I think LSU has a great shot at Jones, I doubt the other out of stat DTs. Nonetheless, this should be another great class. If we can bring in a few of those big names we will probably finish behind only USC and Texas.

Francois plays up a lot since they face a lot of teams that run the ball, and the coaching staff isn't completely sold on his ability to drop back. I think we'll get Francois (and he may be converted to LB), but I think Scott from Tx would be a much bigger get.

You really know your recruiting, thanks for the info. I had just read up the other night on Scott. Hopefully he comes to LSU, his HS, Skyline is the same school former NBA player Larry Johnson went to. They produce a lot of big time athletes.

Wow - there is a very interesting bit in the most recent article on Luther Davis. Apparently, Miles has had to do a lot of mending with Luther's mom because of the way Saban handled recruiting Luther's brother. Very interesting...

I think in a few years we will say that Miles is a better recruiter than Saban. Saban managed to bring in some amazing talent, no doubt, but the way he recruited seemed to lend itself towards more transfers because of what he focused on and told them when he was recruiting them. Miles focuses much more on academics and family.

Of course, I should note, Miles is benefiting from the fact that Saban (along with Skip) really did a lot for our facilities which is certainly helping.

I think Miles will be able to actually raise the talent level of the team as a whole in few years when it is entirely his team.

Apparently not according to the new Rivals article. He won't be able to play for 2 years, but the coaching staff is honoring his commitment & scholarship offer anyway. Very classy by our coaching staff. I wonder what this means for other CB prospects - will Phelon Jones get an offer?

Apparently, he wanted to come here in the spring. He is quite an athlete with a few good friends on the team. Wouldnt suprise me if he ended up here.

I just read that Jones says he is standing by Miami eventhough the coaching change. Think LSU is still in the running? I mean he is still listed as a soft verbal.

Phelon wants LSU. The question is does LSU want Phelon, which they apparently do not (unless we can't get some other guys we want). With the Delvin situation, we need to bring in another CB or two. We could take up to 5 or 6 WRs this class with the idea that one could convert, and we are also recruiting a few other guys. Scott looks to be at the top of the list.
