I'm fairly confident that with just one year of on the job training, I could coach the LSU football team better than Coach Miles. I'd need the OJT because I have never coached a sports team before.
Its all fine and good, but I don't understand the "more efficient" passer.... lee was the most efficient passer in the sec. Not saying matt wont be better, im sure he will be, but he had an efficient passer, and he chose to bench him.
FYI I voted in Les's favor in the recent poll and I appeciate you defending him. That said, Les most definitely owes the Tiger nation many things, including having his team ready for the most important Tiger game in history. (This was the only Tiger team ever to have the chance to go down as "the best college football team ever."). That performance was inexcusable. Period. The lack of peformance was so epic it tarnished a dream season--and thats a damned damned shame. And this most certainly is not all on the QBs.
Still reading, but if this is it for Les's answers, then I'm concerned he still doesnt get why the fans are so upset. And if so, if he still doesnt get it, then that cant be excused. I would have been near 100% content with a simple "I screwed up. It wont happen again."
Well if it turns out that Les hadnt benched JL for undisclosed reasons, and the lack of playing time was purely Les's decision then that is a colossal f*** up on Les's part. If thats true, then color me neutral on Les's future and coaching ability.
Well ... according to Les .. that is exactly what happened. They benched JL because they thought a running QB gave them the best chance to win. Nevermind that the passing QB and the stable of backs had given them the win all season, .... and ..... that's without playing up to the pass attacks strength, but calling the same kind of pass plays that JJ can run. Benching Lee ...and not adjusting the play book and game plan to Lee's strengths, was indeed .. ad collosal F*** up.
