There it is. Yeah the Defense was outplayed early then they got tired from being on the damned field "all night long". No addressing the fact that the OL looked amateurish the entire game? Yeah, Bama is very good (despite some belittling here) but they showed no enthusiasm during game against Arkansas, Georgia and Bama. We turned things around in the first two but why the "flat" play from them in the first place? 2012 may be brighter - if we can avoid a major conflict in Eurasia, that is.
I think there is more than one in the bowl, they float, can not be sunk, and are TOO BIG to go down the hole, thus we will never be able to get them out of sight unless the 2012 team breaks the bowl!!!!
When you're guaranteed 3.5 million a year for the next 4 years ... you really don't give a sh*t what anyone thinks ... except the guy writing the check! Man ... what I could do with 6 million dollars [giving the Obama will take half of it].
Given that he is not the offensive coordinator, who cares? I think you are misinterpreting what a college head coach's primary responsibilities are (recruiting players, disciplining players, motivating players and appeasing the boosters and media). Miles is not an offensive guru, but he doesn't need to be. Nick Saban sucks at creating an offensive game plan too, but Jim McElwain constructed a great one for him. Unfortunately for them, he's headed to Colorado State.
I think Miles knows things will have to change with Mett coming online. Mettenberger is too valuable a passing threat not to take advantage of that talent, and as we saw, he can run, too.:thumb: With JJ, despite what the Peyton brothers saw at camp last summer, we the fans never knew if his passing game would succeed. We also never knew if we would see confidence or a deer in the headlights. From his comments following the game, Jefferson thought he executed pretty well. I don't know what game he played in, but it wasn't the one I saw.:dis: I think Miles will have many moments of thought this winter leading up to the Spring game, and perhaps he will learn from the mistakes made in the NCG. We can only hope. Miles will remain an enigma to many fans. In the end he does what he does. He's the coach.:geauxtige
Hopefully Miles will concentrate on recruiting and let Kraigthorp/Stud completely take over the offense. If that happens I look for the offense to improve drastically. If Miles insists on having his finger prints all over the offense look for more frustration.
