Right on! Miles' demeanor has a way of calming the team in pressure situations. He is the anchor of this team for sure.

Miles treats refs like I treat cops. Respect their judgment, unless it's abjectly retarded.

Miles is definitely a cool customer, and his reputation as such is spreading nationally. Did anyone notice that ESPN is playing the "ESPN recruting commercial" with CLM lately?

Yep. How quickly people for get that this forum was filled with "Fire Miles!" threads and comments attacking him by saying he looked "lost" or "scared" on the sidelines because he wasn't getting all "fired up angry!"... :dis:

    Welcome aboard, bandwagon-jumpers!!

Yeah. . .turns out, he knew what he was doing, all along. Imagine that.

I never made too much of it. There have been great coaches that constantly get fired up, and there have been great coaches who keep their wits about them. One hasn't proven to be more successful than the other.

I was very, very frustrated when Wing's TD got called back. I am sure Les was too. Which is why I am so impressed with how he handled this situation. It sets things so well for us going forward. No Tom Coughlin here!!

Would CLM have acted any differently if Wing's TD was called back while Florida held a 14-0 lead?

Probably, but I doubt Wing tries that if we're down 14.

Maybe. But I think it's a little wrong to say that CLM, at the time of the play, was in complete agreement with the call.

If you watch the video, the Line Judge trails the play and doesn't throw a flag. The Field Judge is at the goal line and signals touchdown. Right when Wiing crosses the goal line, you can see the Back Judge (who is near the middle of the field at the goal line, probably 15 yards or more from Wiing) throw the flag.

A little later in the video you can see CLM yell down the sideline (presumably to the Line Judge or Field Judge) "It's YOUR call!" So, while Les might not have disagreed that the call was correct, he didn't think the correct official made it.

Good observation but I doubt if the Line Judge even saw it from behind.
