EXACTLY Look i am as upset as everyone but it happens. It even happens when a team that should have won didnt. Oklahoma is RIFE with history like this, or Alabama getting waxed by Utah, or USC losing to a 4 TD underdog in Stanford. It happens. Did Miles have a great day no. Did JJ do what we all expected us to do and has done since he came here IE Suck yes. I still believe Bama and LSU play 10 times each time wins 5.
So, there's 3 seconds right there, but Bama would be in the backfield by that time. I'm just parroting the "he never had more than 3 seconds" from another poster. I'll never watch a minute of that game again; it would give me post-traumatic stress disorder.
This is the biggest problem. As bad as the playcalling was, the fact that JJ's job was never in any jeopardy was far worse.
Kajun ... go back and look at the play by play .. The Short Pass was there all night long. First Series .... R, 6 yrd pass complete to RR, R, P Seond Series ... RRRP Third Series .... pass 8 yrds to ODB, R, R, Pass complete to ODB 7 yrds, ... then that fricken stupid behind the line screen B.S. for a loss .. P Fourth Series ... Pass complete, Pass complete .. R, R, R, P. What screwed it up for LSU was that CLM was bent on running the fricken football. He admitted it on his quotes. Even his pass game was contingent on the run. He should have just passed repeatedly to move the ball down the field and change the tone of the game ... and for GODS SAKE ... get rid of that STUPID WR screen. In fact, with JJ and his slow release, get rid of all screens because he telegraphs them. The plays that hurt us were the longer passes where JJ usually got sacked, stupid screens, and the run game. It just was not there. .. .and then of course .. penalties, and bobled snaps, and JJ's tendency to tuck and run as soon as he gets the ball. Granted, the O LINE didn't play up to par. Where was T-Bob ... on the bench. If your starting five ain't cuttin it, put in the rookies who want to play. .. again .. coaching error. You can disagree with me, but when we did run the short pass routes down field .. they were successful. In fact, they were the most successful thing we did.
One thing is for sure - it makes the question on the home page of this forum, the one that's been up for 3 years, relevant again.
