UT plays in a weak league, always has. Except for the few years when Arkansas had a good program the Southwest Conference was Texas and the 7 Dwarfs. Brown didn't win a Big 12 title until his 7th or 8th year when Vince Young won it for him. Put UT in the SEC and they ARE Georgia.

The guy is a Shinola salesman. Listen to him closely and he's very reminiscent of Bill Clinton. We don't want him, and I don't even like Miles.

Not if they play Oregon. Just watched that game with USC and I am impressed. First look at O this year and just figured another pac10 Pansy but I think that offense can score at will on anybody.

If he does this for 2 straight seasons, then you can talk about Brown like that.

Otherwise, he gets a pass just like Miles did after 2008.

And you're a staunch defender of Miles, so your post is kinda funny.

So if it is hypocritical for a Miles defender to bash Coach Brown then doesn't it make it hypocritical for those who bash Miles to not do the same regarding Brown?

Why does Mack Brown get a pass for losing to Baylor? Why does he get a pass for McCoy chucking the ball out of bounds with :00 on the clock against Nebraska last year? Why does Richt get a pass? Urban Meyer gets a pass? He lost 5 games after a NC with Tebow at quarterback?

It is a blatant double standard because Miles doesn't fit the media's darling. He's not well spoken and doesn't give a rat's ass about the media.

Meyer has a goddamn furlough program going on down there....yet you never hear about what kind of message that sends to college and high school kids.

Richt can't beat Florida, period. They are the Bulldogs biggest rival, yet the alumni are not calling for his head.

Everybody gets a pass except Miles.....why is that? Because he isn't a slick Willie car salesman behind the microphone? Wake up...the reason he is bad behind the mike is because he is a decent human being who isn't going to throw members of his "extended family" under the bus.

What do you expect him to say...."yeah, made a mistake hiring Crowton but you know....I lobbied for a raise last year we are stuck with him around here for another year..."

"yeah, I know JJ sucks at reading defenses, Lee is afraid of contact and Shepard can't remember where to line up.....but hey, Z. Lee was hopefully going to be our man this year but he took the 5 million and left. I mean, hell, 5 million dollars is a lot of money. I should know, I only make 4 million a year....and that's a lot of money. It's actually not that much but it is enough for me to hang around an take the bashing from the idiotic fanbase that is so stupid they think Richt is a better coach than I am and he hasn't won jack chit."

Let's just hope and pray we beat that sonofabitch Saban...then all will be right with the world!:milesmic:

Am I the only one that thought Richt's clock management was bad? Florida had the ball with over 3 mins to go in regulation - UGA had all three time outs. Florida punts with 53 secs left on the clock- UGA still has all 3 time outs. I kept wondering why Richt was sitting on those time outs.

There are questionable decisions made every week in countless games in college football and the NFL. I also thought he went for 2 too early but they made the second 2 pt. attempt so it was a wash. It was also a questionable call to put the game in the hands of Murray in OT. A throw over the middle instead of a fade to AJ Green in the corner of the end zone? Bad call in my opinion. At least on the fade AJ can become a defender if needed and you have a fair chance at interference.

Exactly what I've been thinking and saying all along. But I get tired of trying to show that we don't have it so bad here. The problem is most people can't get around the fact that questionable issues show up at every program. As a fan base we seem to be pretty blind. If Drew Brees were our QB I'd imagine most Tiger fans would want to skin him alive, pour honey over him and leave him in a fire ant bed.

Mark Richt doesn't get a pass. He's a HORRIBLE coach that is 5 yrs overdue for a pink slip.

I'm on the fence with Brown. I don't think he's a great coach, but he's definitely better than Miles and Richt. Yeah they lost to Baylor, but Baylor is a top 25 team THIS year. Besides, Texas lost a lot of players from last year so them struggling was to be expected.

Now you have to be phucking joking about Meyer. Yea he lost those 5 games that year, BUT FOLLOWED THAT YEAR UP WITH A NATIONAL TITLE! Point being, his team got better. Now Florida is struggling this year, but they too lost a lot of players from last year including Tebow. You can't just replace Tebow and expect the same results right away.
