IMO, Miles has his faults, not the least of which is giving his coordinators too much autonomy. I've heard all the theories about him handcuffing Crowton, but I just don't see it. The common denominator here is BYU-Oregon-LSU and Crowton, not Miles.

Is Miles a great X's and O's coach? Probably not, but I'm convinced the problem with the offense is Crowton. I'm similarly convinced that our defense is GREAT because of Chavis, and I do not look forward to the day that he leaves.

At LSU Less Miles has better players, however, because he is so inept at coaching, LSU often finds itself late in the game behind opponents it should beat by 4 touchdowns or having to hold on for dear life in the final seconds. Hence, there are many more opportunities for infamous Less Miles’ faux pas as the game winds down than when he was at Oklahoma State and simply got blown out.

Less Miles did that against West Virginia too, but luckily our defense was strong enough to hold on.

Now that is a classic Less Miles bonehead decision.

That's because the problem isn't Miles, it's Crowton.

    Correct.

Miles isn't the one seen running down the sideline frantically signaling JJ to spike the ball with 1 sec on the clock vs Ole Miss last year. Oh wait, that was him. Crowton sits up in the box.

Fast forward to Saturday where he sends in JJ with a running play and no backup plan in case it fails.

Yep. That Les Miles is a keeper.

You actually think there was a backup plan?

I agree with you. Crowton couldn't decide what to call on 3rd and 1. It was simple - a power run to the left. Put your FB in there and run the ball right down their ***%$# throats. We had two downs to gain one yard and Ridley is the man.

Twice ... well one was only 28. Maybe that second one was Gundy, in fact almost sure it was because that idiot vince young was there so it would have had to been I think. The 35 pt lead sticks though and that was "the head".

    Jenni Carlson is pretty hot.
