Les Miles & LSU has the #3 Defense in the Nation LSU's Defense is now allowing 242.14 yards per game & an incredible 3.97 yards per play. LSU has not dropped below 4 yards per play in the past Decade. LSU Defenses under Les Miles: 2005 #3 2006 #3 2007 #3 2008 #32 2009 #26 2010 #3 http://web1.ncaa.org/mfb/natlRank.jsp?year=2010&rpt=IA_teamtotdef&site=org&div=IA&dest=O
How DARE you post something positive about the man! Personally, if you had to chose, I'd take a top 5 nationally ranked defense over a top 5 nationally ranked offense. (and yes, I know we want BOTH but you rarely see that happen in football).
Hats of to all the REAL fans who BOOOOOed their hearts out over the Malveto/Miles fiasco. We would STILL have the mutant disaster, and would have NEVER heard of John Chavis coaching LSU defenses. BRAVO REAL FANS!!!!!!!
#3 defense...nice. I'm ready to get our 3rd national championship of the decade too :geaux: :crystal:
best defense in the SEC against the best offense in the SEC next weekend. Going to be one for the ages. What sucks is that this season it seems the SEC could be watching the national championship game because the SEC is a victim of it's own success.
Yes, hiring Chavis was a great move by Les. That along with his recruiting efforts have him in the Top 10.
Soon, the big 10 (+ 2) and pac 10 (+2) and big 12 (-2) will all have to play that extra championship game, at the same time, as the rest of the college football world. Naw, not going to happen. I'm just hoping these institutions of higher learning will actually name their conferences and be mathematically correct.
