Having been burned twice now on "Miles to Michigan" news, ESPN went looking for another way to taint the Tigers today. Reported that on Marshawn Lynch's ridiculous TD run against the Saints Saturday, the crowd reaction registered on a nearby seismographic station. :nope:
But has he chosen us? According to Michigan folks and Chris Landry, the broken factions in the Michigan camp is what caused Les to be back at LSU. If there was not a divide he would have bolted. As per Chris, in the meeting with AD Brandon, both of them agreed that it would not be in the best interest for both parties for the hire. You have the Lloyd Carr camp wanting BH and Brandon wanting Miles. In other words he would have never been universally accepted from everyone. So they agreed that it was best for Les to remain LSU coach. If this is true, ( sounds plausible) we are actually Les' second choice. Everyone is posting reason's for him picking LSU, but the real reason is he would not have united the Michigan fanbase. Ya'll can sugarcoat it all u want. He wanted to bolt!
no one is universally accepted anywhere. so your point is ridiculous. michigan is trying to sell this to their fanbase because they have run out of options. they have brady hoke only when les said no thanks. would miles have gone if LC wanted him? we will never know. nor does it matter. if nick saban wouldnt have left, les wouldnt have been offered the LSU job. see how this nonsense works.
:geaux: But at the end of the day it doesn't matter, even assuming that's the case. He's still at LSU and will be for several more years at the very least. And he will be a hell of lot more successful at LSU than he would've been at Michigan, and he knows that. Way more upside in Baton Rouge. And if Brandon was so sure that Les would be such a devisive hire, why did he even bother? Why spend all the time, effort, and money to come down to Baton Rouge and visit with Les FOR NOTHING? :rolleye33: The Carr contingent may have wanted Hoke but just as many wanted Les in Ann Arbor. And it's gonna be tough on Brady Hoke for the next 3 maybe 4 years at least, unless he can run the spread right off the bat and magically conjure up a defense. Would have been tough on Les too. And not everybody up there is thrilled with the Hoke hire either. Just go look on their boards. He was choice #3 for cryin' out loud! They wanted Les. :LSU231:
