So officially the golden era of LSU football is over, we are currently in the golden shower of LSU football.

You should be pissed off because you're getting pissed on.

Miles will wait until all the other jobs have been filled, THEN and ONLY THEN, will he start his "search" to fill the opening he JUST created!!!!

This is what I fear. I keep checking in every morning hoping for some good news on a new OC but your prediction is most likely.

    your hoping is fruitless

the time has passed to get rid of the actual problem, getting an OC is meaningless

that's like Obama getting a new vice president in hopes this country will be run better

All coaches are under contract until at least the end of March. They will continue to recruit and prep for the bowl game once it's announced.

It's what they do. They're paid employees. Nothing to see here. Just because they are still working does NOT mean Les isn't looking and doesn't mean that that particular coach isn't looking.

Staff changes should be made AFTER signing day anyway. We need to do everything we can to sign the best class possible.

    Don't over think this, guys.

Hope your right, but after 11 years of the same offense under 4 different OCs, I really am past thinking that it will make a difference. If he hires Henson, is that a step up from Cam? I don't think so. I'd rather Cam. The problem is likely not Cam, but CLMs input. If he let Cam run the offense fully, do you think it would be the product we see? I'm saying the strategy CCC would employ for different teams weekly, the plays he would call to utilize the talent he has that year, and the calls he would make in crunch time, like in the red zone or last 2 min's of a half, etc. would all be different. I think CLM meddles in all of that, and it's his right as the HC, but it is the heart of the problems for our offense. If he got out of his own way, we would all be happy and his longevity as HC would be extended.

Kinda changing the subject.... the initial response was about the folks making a big deal about Cam being on the recruiting trail. He's supposed to be. We're paying him. We have a bowl game coming up in less than a month.

As far as the OC goes, I have no idea what Les will do. Maybe this near-divorce scared him into making change. Other HC's have completely changed their offensive identities and they've managed to stay relevant.

Les is a completely different cat, though. He is loyal to a fault and hard-headed. His philosophy and the instructions to the OC are what keeps our offense stuck in the 50's.

And it's not about changing our personnel. We need to adapt our scheme/ plan to our personnel. Period.

I thought Miles and Cameron were big buddies, you know, in each other's weddings and all. I THOUGHT once he hired Cameron he hired someone he could trust and turn the Offense over to. IF he does not trust Cameron with the offense, I am afraid he is not going to trust anyone with it. The writing is on the wall, for Miles, which is change the offense to fit the players we have, turn it over to an OC who can get the job done, or lose your job. I am betting on Miles' stubbornness to rear its head and odds are we are having the conversation about who LSU's new coach should be next November. I don't think it matters if he keeps Cameron or gets a new OC, Miles is not changing Miles. IMO

Miles could wait and then leave for another school after all the good coaches have been snatched up.
