Totally concur. I have zero issues with the man that he is. That's the thing though. He was never this conservative before. Not at Okie St. or his first few years here. I think Jarrett Lee's freshman season did more damage to Miles and his Lesticles than it ever did to Lee. It seems like he never wants to put a young QB in that position again.
You can't overprotect your young QB out of fear his delicate psyche might get bruised. Quarterbacks are supposed to be confident, brash and even a little cocky. Letting one take his lumps as a youngster will only make him better if he has the right stuff to begin with.
I think a lot of people can blame him if his unwillingness to at least attempt a vertical passing games leads to even more of those 8-5 seasons.
