As a Bama QB, not bad. As a coach, I was more impressed with his Dad.

I'm scratching. Just haven't figured out what the heck they were thinking.

Probably never will. I'm a positive thinker regarding the Tigers, maybe even a pumper at times, but I am definitely in the head scratching mode.

Still, I think we CAN beat FL this week if certain things go our way... :geaux:

What's the record of Jimbo's QBs since he left and went to work for the legendary coach in talent rich Florida.

My fault for not being more specific.

Since you were advising patience in our current situation I thought it would be good if you shared how patience brought you through the Shula ending. And what did you say to try to convince your fellow Tuskers to say no to running a good man for Nick.

Not much for similarities, but have at it.

Never one to get caught up in the "good man" argument. Comparing Shula and Miles record would be a waste and not much of a debate. Shula had a 4 year period of 4-9, 6-6, 10-2, 6-7. No NC, no SECCG, Our 4 year record against our three main rivals, Tenn. LSU, and Auburn, 1-11. If these were the trouble waters Miles was navigating these days, the debate would be over, long ago.

Ponder has a 60.5% completion rate and 844 through 5 games. 8 TD passes. That's more passing yardage than our two combined.

His backup QB has almost as much as JJ.

That's not mentioning the receiving corps we have compared to FSU's.

I admit the good man comment was bait. With that record Miles would be dipped in a turkey fryer feet first so he wouldn't die quick Was the 4 and 6 win seasons a direct result of NCAA probations? Or was Shula given much of a pass because of the probations? If so the 10-2 didn't buy him much time? He must have been on a short leash from the get go.

I'm in. I loved panty raids at LSU. Now if I could just remember what we did with them once we grabbed one.
