Never going to happen. Managing the game clock is at the core of coaching. Can't really justify paying a coach 3 million a year if he has to have a guy next to him doing the job he should be doing. It would be like paying a paralegal to give the final arguments in a trial.
It's also embarrassing to be exposed as someone who can't manage a game clock on national TV... He'd still be giving the closing arguments, but someone would be whispering in his ear. Think of Barack Obama giving a brilliant speech which he is reading off the teleprompter
My 42-17 Alabama score over LSU still stands. And is looking better by the minute. Even if LSU would have beaten Ole Miss, that would have been my prediction.
