There have been about a dozen times in his tenure at LSU that clock management has been a huge factor in close games, and he has figured out a way to fuck it up in almost half of those games, and that might be generous in his favor.

I've seen saint nicky the little do it at LSU and while the head gumpster. It happens with EVERY coach at EVERY level. Yes that is a particular weakness of CLM but he shares it with the best. It is exaggerated by the media and those who want to seize on anything to bash him. In the scheme of things it isn't worth the time spent on it.
There is no explination that can defend the Timeout he took during the Ole Miss game. ALso a few weeks ago, we took a timeout and then got a delay of game as well. Anyway you cut it, that is shitty coaching and YES, Harbaugh was AN idiot for letting that happen. Doesn't mean he is a dummy the rest of his life but in that moment, yes. Very fricking stupid. Also, not a person on this forum would compare Harbaugh to Miles. Miles is a good coach, but he isn't on the same list as "the best".
FIFY FIFY.... you make my point sport. I wasn't defending the timeout at all, but making the point that all coaches (even ones better than Les) do it all the time. Les is NOT a dummy for life either. You and many point out he does so much well yet seize on this to call him terminally dumb. AGAIN my point is that in the whole scheme of CLM's coaching term this is over hyped and too often exaggerated. in other words get over it please.
Tell you what. When Les stop doing these things so often, there won't be threads on it. You see, when he coaches good, we cheer for the win. Though when we lose and HE IS THE CAUSE, guess what? We talk about it and people remind us that he wins 10 games!
While I will agree that a lot of head coaches are clock management challenged, nobody does it so egregiously like Leslie.
This thread should be a sticky for the next few years by all means to keep izzy from having to start another for 2014.
