I might agree if he was benched for the rest of the game, Benching him for the remainder of a quarter doesn't seem all that bad when we are deep at running back. Hilliard did pretty well in relief of Hill.
I think Hill is just on a short leash with Miles after the fight. Miles said he wouldnt have allowed Hill back but decided to bring it to the team(Im sure he knew they would vote him back in). I get sitting someone down if they fumble to teach discipline. WHich Im all for. But again, your team wont be disciplined if the HC isnt. Anyways, Hill did fumble but its not at all like he has had a history of it. I wouldnt have sat him because of that. He is too much better than the next guy up. Where we really need some asses to be sat is on D. Louis, Thompson, and Beckwith have all shown potential to make plays. While Barrow, Welter, and Loston havent done much on the field except whiff on tackles. Those are the asses that should be sitting, not Hill.
A couple of offensive linemen need to see some bench, too. they are talented but often play without focus.
I agree Red. I think this is a more talented OL than '11, but they dont at all play like it. Our run stats are OK but too many runs are either for nothing or long runs. We need those consistent carries.
That finger you're talking about is usually in his ear. He just looks like that much more of a doofus when they show him on TV doing that, which is nearly every week.
And it should be on top of his head pumping his shunt to get the water off of his brain then NONE of these threads would exist.
And if Mettenberger had completed just one of his endzone interceptions, none of these threads would exist either.
Incorrect, all the other blunders would have still happened and les would still have water in his head. That aint changing amigo. I mean really, have you seen the size of that melon? You don't have to believe it but it is what it is and it explains why that fool can't walk and chew grass at the same time as well.
