This is a direct effect of the gameplan in the Florida game, I think. Why mess with an offense that was scoring 45 points a game? If it ain't broke, don't break it. On the other hand, the defense is broke, broke, broke. Fix that mofo.
That was just Les talking and saying things in very strange ways that only he knows how. He didn't literally mean the stadium, but referring to the "atmosphere" I would think.
It is a definite weakness of his. There--I said it. I don't think the man is perfect. But I do like him.
I think Ole Miss took them all by surprise. He'd didnt think scout team guys would come out so hungry. Les was shaken when he realized that he would not be able to break Ole Miss down. Mett being off and not having the passing game he thought he would panicked Miles, thus time management reared its ugly head. I think Les has always had his finger in the offense and always will. I thought maybe for a little while Cam was going to be able to run the show with the offense, but now I'm thinking Cam is helping with play design and formations, I think he is aiding the QB's development, and he and Miles are consulting about the game plans. But Miles is the trigger puller. And I don't believe Cam is a guy to go to Les and say, " Relax pal, I got this." It's probably more like " Sure buddy, whatever you want."
What can I say? I'm stubborn. I also agreed with you when you started a thread about "Les Miles isn't very good" after the UNC near loss in '10.
