Hold on just a minute...over the summer, someone posted the list of NFL players that were on LSU's team when Saban got here. He then continued to recruit Louisiana talent, which Miles does, as well. We've had great talent here since the mid-90's. Some of the guys from that era were still in the NFL as recently as last year. When Saban was at LSU, he got his ass handed to him many more times than Miles did--and he was NOT working with inferior talent. Maybe Alabama has some inherent advantages that LSU does not?
Pardon me if I don't feel sorry for the offense last night. I was like WTF watching that shit show for the entire first half and part of the 2nd.
That's not true. Look back at some of the prediction threads. Many people had it as a possible loss (I didn't.) I especially didn't when it became evident that Ole Miss was playing their scout team on defense. But shit happens.
If I told you ole miss was starting about 6 backups on D would you consider it a loss? That is what is troubling.
Officiating would be No. 1 on that list. Not that they needed any help beating Ark, but not one penalty last night? C'mon man. Not to mention the many documented cases of officiating that have benefited them, including but not limited to, the PP intercept in '09.
