so what happens when miles retires? who do we get? according to you and others, no one is good enough. so do we quit having a football team? because according to you, no one is good enough. miles is the greatest (that can't beat ole fucking miss)
You couldn't be more wrong. I didn't come on here tonight advocating for a coaching change. I simply responded to posts directed at me that asked about a hypothetical change. I didn't bring it up. It should have been clear as to what I meant. Others are now coming out to say the same, which is essentially the point that Les Miles is as others have stated "as dumb as a box of rocks".
Yeah but Ole Miss' pass defense was reeling there in the 2nd half. He threw for 173 yards in a quarter and a half of play from the 9 minute mark in the 3rd to the 3 minute mark in the 4th. I like my chances.
Tough questions? He answered the tough question by hiring cameron. We have the highest paid DC in college football, I believe. We lost a ton of d talent to the nfl and I guess that's the difference. The problem is, next year we are starting a green qb and a defense that has been awful this year. Bama/Saban keeps reloading and we keep falling behind. I can't believe how bad I feel after the excitement last week.
Nobody has ever fired a coach that has an 80% winning record and two national championship games on his record. Only fools even imagine this.
no one said that either, but you don't fire a fucking guy that wins 80% of his games. That is fucking lunacy. Yes, he shits the bed every now and then. But until he starts dropping 5 and 6 a year, you will never see a change so the argument is fucking pointless. It's not gonna happen, and dumbasses that say, Oh anyone can do better than him, are just that... dumbasses.
I'm not as harsh on the Saban issue. He wasn't a fukwad when he was here. He is only a fukwad because he lied about his interest in leaving, but no one can blame him for trying his hand at the NFL level. As for the dropoff, I'll reserve final judgment. Playing in the NCG two seasons ago would argue against a dropoff to be sure. We'll see where it goes. Of course, we haven't won a title since 2007 and with the new system coming up combined with existing problems, I'm left scratching my head as to when we will legitimately challenge again. 2 years ago, we smoked Oregon. Given our defensive woes, we would likely get smoked by them this year. There has been a drop off. Let's just hope it is short term.
Who wants that kind of pressure. Oh I'll coach at LSU but I gotta win a national championship every year and coach to perfection or the idiots in Baton Rouge will run me out of town.
I agree. He isn't going anywhere, but I fully understand the frustration people have with him and call him a dumb coach. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. That's for Les to worry about, if he is even worried at all, which I am sure he is not.
