Personally....I don't think anyone else in the country has the players to be able to knock off saban the way LSU does, as much as it pains me to say this, I think bama runs the table the rest of the way.

IMO and this is all it is.............I think Oregon would give them a very good game. I shudder to think what Oregon would have done with LSU had the current QB played and routinely hits wide open WR's while the one that played LSU did not. In addition.................you CAN NOT put a price on the "mo change" effect of the Badger. He might have missed more than a few fumbles he tried to create but when he was right...................the game changed RIGHT THEN. Alabama has a good defense but it has now been tested and "others" were watching. I think the speed of the Oregon game would work on Alabama, they would not get those situationaly defensive substitutes they make. Can't be sure, but it is a game I won't miss. As for Kansas State, if they don't have Klein they are not KSU............I do know that Gary Patterson will do all with what he has left (many injuries, suspensions, only 1 senior on defense) to game plan for them............still may not be enough but I will be there. As for Notre Dame, in my book you don't get a pass for 3OT win at home over a team that has only won 4 games. I DO NOT want to see them play for it all.

Ok. I stayed away from the forums so i would not let my emotions take over. I was disappointed LSU lost but encouraged by the way the teamed played. I thought they were prepared and our offense executed well and opened up the play book. The defense as always played very well except for last Bama Drive. The Coaches has the team prepared and it showed, the 4th down tries are easy to second guess because they did not work. People calling for LES to be fired be careful what you wish for Coaches are a TOTAL packge ,recruiting, talent development etc. I dont think there is a better coach out there . The fact that we are bitching because we don't have a shot at another title game should speak volumes.

Cheer up tiger fans i think there is only one team that can beat Bama this year and we came up short. Also i think we are the only team that doesn't fear Nick and his boys and i live in Bama country and they know they got away with a lucky win this year.

LOL.....with all do respect....that game was not, or at any time during that game even close, oregon was getting physically abused all game, in every aspect, in the trenches on both sides of the ball, their running game took a beating, their QB took a pounding, special teams, our offense was able to run at will and throw when we wanted to! That was the type of game you knew after half way through the 2nd quarter it was over, you just felt like you could do what you wanted to oregon. As for ND I hate them...but they have a "0" in the loss column, in my opinion they are the worst of the 0 loss teams, but they do have 0 losses!

I was there, that game was very close until it broke open in the second half..........my 4 time letterman, WR, TCU football son constantly pointed out the coverage mistakes LSU was making all nite long and we watched one bad pass after another (The Oregon QB) even though they still threw for 150% yards that LSU did. The score at half was 16-13, that is a close score and as I said it took a "Badger" moment in the second half to break the game open. I also don't think 335 yards to 273 (LSU) represents "domination" but whatever. Their 3rd down conversion rate 9-19 versus LSU 6-15 would not lead you to believe the "domination" on defense is what you allude to. As to their running game, L James was held in check but when you compare actual stats you will find that LSU averaged 3.6 yards per carry and they averaged 3.4, once again not a dominating difference. I certainly did not feel "half way through the second quarter" that game was "over" and any LSU fan that did is a complete fool. Turnovers were the difference in the game, LSU did not statistically pound Oregon as you allude. This years Oregon team IMO has a MUCH BETTER QB and I think far better defense thus my reasoning for a better opponent for Alabama.

I was there also.....not with my 4 year letterman wr college son....but with my 12 year old fb/lb son(what that has to do with it I have no idea). in the second quarter oregon had 4 posessions....first a fumble, second an interception, third a 79 yd td drive, thats the only time they did claw their way back into it, 4 th possesion end of half, lsu had the TM7 fumble for a TD, punt on next possesion, then 75 yd td drive on next one.....in the first half the ALMIGHTY oregon offense had 135 yds total offense. Oregon finished with 250 yds passing for the game but most of that came when it was already over, not to mention they threw it 54 times!! thats averaging 7 yards per completion, lsu only had 98 yards passing and still averaged 9.8 yards per completion.....LSU ran the ball 48 times, oregon knew what was comming and could do nothing about it. Oregon was supposed to be FAR superior on offense remember. By the way the reason the QB looked so bad throwing the ball because he was scared for his life, lsu was getting pressure even with the oregon get the ball out of his hands quick theory.

The Pac 12 is always a flashy offense with no defense type game and it always shows up when they play good defenses! Hell USC just scored 51 on oregon.

This, this and more this. I've already 24-hour rule'd the results of this one. But 11 months later, I still change the channel if I see a highlight of the January debacle come on the screen.
