He's a stubborn man, we all know that. He's a loyal man, we all know that. Will he make the right move and hire a legitimate DC to get this team back where they rightfully belong? If he stays loyal and stubborn, we're more or less looking at becoming the Oklahoma State Cowboys of the early part of this decade. Let 'er rip, as Les would say. I say, Let 'er go.
islstl, how far do we drop in the polls? And wouldn't it be weird if we get in a bowl against Ok. State?
I believe something will have to give. Our D hasn't been very good since we started SEC play. With the expection of the SC game, we've given up a lot of points and yardage in each game. If it's gone on for 7 games, there isn't much to make me think that we'll get it fixed anytime soon. I see way too many problems on D.... Les knows we have talented kids, a great program, and as fans we now have REALLY high expectations. We'll drop another game or two this season and it won't sit well with CLM. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Oh, it won't sit well with him at all, you are correct. But will it bother him enough to fire a couple of people he has a pretty close relationship with? Loyalty can be a bitch sometimes.
If CLM do not fix our defense soon, then the ranking is meaningless. With the QB situation, I did not expect a lot this year. I can live with Lee's growing pain. But right now, our defense is the biggest problem. It has been seven games now and I don't see any real progress in our defense, which I think in larger part can be attributed to our Co-DCs. Coach Les Miles is loyal man. But he must be loyal to the LSU program first. That means he has to be professional and make hard decisions to put LSU program back on top. Otherwise, sadly I have to say that CLM will be run out of town in a few years. I don't want to see CLM become Coach Gerry Dinardo.
Wow... when was the last time we dropped that low? We've been pretty used to the 10-2 stuff & top ten finishes.
