Re: Fire Les Miles I hope to GOD that Les Miles is not the head coach of LSU next year! He probably won't get fired unless the team had an absolute meltdown in the Arkansas game. Trust Me, the Arkansas game will not be a breeze with the incompetent coaches that run this team.
Re: Fire Les Miles I love my LSU football and I was heartbroken when Saban left. I've propped up Les Miles's record in defending him although I have never liked his game management skills and always thought he lacked a mastery of the game. It always just seemed like we were skating by on miracle plays from highly talented kids. This is certainly not an isolated event. The press conference was a little too much for me to bare. I don't think I've ever seen a coach act like that in the final seconds of the game and then throw everyone else under the bus. That was a multi million dollar f up. I've wanted to believe despite my best football instincts, but I don't think Les is going to be around for much longer. Couple of years max. That was completely discombobulated.
Re: Fire Les Miles not me.... im still fighting with people who think saban is a traitor... i personally think he is a great coach and any lsu fan who says they wouldnt take him back is plain stupid.
Re: Fire Les Miles sure les miles won the championship...with Sabans recruits, Pellini's defense, and Fisher's offense .... now Miles has his players and coaches, How's he doing?
Re: Fire Les Miles Miles will not be fired this season or next season for that matter. It's going to be a bit painful at times until that day arrives, but it is what it is. Miles was able to ride on Saban's coat tails for his first 3-4 years. And for what it's worth, he was able to do that quite well. Now we are seeing Miles and Miles alone. The teams plays sloppy, looks confused, commits stupid penalties, and burns time outs to avoid other stupid penalties. To me, that's coaching. And his in game management is clueless. He just looks totally lost on the sideline. Maybe he will prove me wrong and have a great season next year, but I'm just not feeling it. I think that most of us have wondered all along whether Miles was good coach or whether he was running on inertia. I think that the answer to that question is becoming clear. And to the Bama fan who asked the question about Saban, anyone who is being honest will say that Saban is a better coach. There's no comparison whatsoever.
Re: Fire Les Miles Les Miles has been riding the coat tail of Saban and now the wizard behind the curtain is being exposed for the little coach he really is. A sad day for the Tiger football no BCS bid and starring at a possible 4th lost next week against probably the best throwing QB in the Sec.
Re: Fire Les Miles You're right. He isn't in the game. The only thing on his mind is going to Michigan. If I were a betting man, he'll go this year. Good bye Les.......:angryfire
Re: Fire Les Miles Today was the culimation of two straight seasons of melt downs. Two straight under achieving teams. Two straight seasons of extremely poor coaching. Two straight seasons of not seeing ANY improvements throughout the entire season. Last year it was the D, this year its the O. And at seasons end its both. I dont want to see LSU drop back down to a middle tier SEC school, I dont see Miles ever getting us back to the elite. WHile I agree the title buys another season there are some much better coaches out there right now. And today really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Being that ill prepared is unacceptable. Miles has always been bad with clock management but this was beyond atrocious. Ive lost all faith in him. LSU is the joke of the weekend.
